Round 1 plays (1pt):

Martin Kaymer to beat John Daly -180 @ Pinnacle
It would be great to see Daly repeating his form of the Italian Open, but I just don't see it around the demanding tree-lined West Course at Wentworth. Even if he did play well, he would struggle to beat the #25 in the World Rankings who was only one of two players to shoot every round under par last year.

Luke Donald to beat Jeev Milkha Singh -136 @ Pinnacle
Back to form and with a course history that reads 18th, 25th, 7th and 3rd, Donald looks set for a much better week than Singh who has missed the cut in three of his last four visits to Wentworth.

Paul Casey to beat Retief Goosen -110 @ The Greek [also available @ William Hill and Paddy Power]
A top-3 finish would lift Casy into the 3rd place in the World Rankings. Goosen's form is certainly improving this year, but has been a long time since he looked like a top-3 player. He has finished ahead of Casey just once in the last nine months, so is unlikely to do so this week.

Paul Casey to beat Ernie Els -120 @ Pinnacle
Opposing another former great who is struggling to get back his former game. Els helped redesign this course in 2006 but he has been pregressively worse every year in this event since. As with the Goosen play, Casey dominates the head-to-head stats and with his record in this event and the World Matchplay event here in October, he should be a much stronger favourite.

Anthony Wall to beat David Horsey -110 @ The Greek [also available @ William Hill]
Horsey has finished ahead of Wall just twice in his career, so when he is making his course debut and playing against a player who has four top-10 finishes in eight 'home' events on the European Tour this year, he may well struggle to finish of him again this week.

The BMW PGA Championship for May 21st to May 24th.

The BMW PGA Championship for May 21st to May 24th.

Whole Tournament Matchups for 72 holes for Thursday thru Sunday :

Three Units :

Luke Donald over Ernie Els @ - 115. Lost by 2.

Darn, Els makes a late birdie on the last hole in round two to just make the cut or I would have lucked out with Luke over the line by one and Ernie below the line by one. Now must play it out for two more days.

Two Units :

Paul Casey over Henrik Stenson @ - 115. Won (by 12) on Cut.
Stenson, the favorite at the outset, Cut.

Chapchai Nirat (2nd Rnd) -130 over Michael Campbell

"I was hitting balls on the range on Wednesday morning and felt a lower back pain," Cambo said, "and then warming-up this morning, I felt a shooting pain in my right arm. Then in playing my tee shot at the third hole, I just felt this shooting pain down my spine." He required treatment four times and popped some pain-killers during his round, and plans to ice it in advance of his Friday afternoon tee time. "Hopefully it will be okay tomorrow because the last thing I want, with the U.S. Open just a month away, is to be sidelined with another injury."

O Cambo..

Fisher

Fisher

Ross Fisher is trying to ruin my party. My biggest outright of the year on Paul Casey (first by 1) with a strong backup on Rory McIlroy (third, down by 2). However Ross Fisher has knocked two of the three shot lead Casey had to move within one.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Casey.

Boooooooooooooooooo Fisher.

Fisher again

Fisher again

Another birdie for Fisher to tie it. That's five for him in ten holes. Jerk.

Also, McIlroy dropped to fourth as Soren Kjedsen took third and could be charging.

C'mon Casey, don't let me down.

Fisher, throw a bogey in there.

Fisher in lead

Fisher in lead

That didn't take long. Now Fisher is in the lead after his sixth birdie in nine holes. Wake up Paul.
