I feel compelled to tell this... As I watch Bo 30/30... I was standing next to Bo Friday night, as his hs McAdory played for the 5a state championship. A kid asked him for his autograph, he said how much $ u got? Kid laughed Bo said I'm serious. Kid didnt get autograph. Humble? I think not

Herschel Walker > Bo Jackson

I remember in 1985 when Auburn came to UT, Dale Jones laid a few hits on him and he didn't come back on the field. Incredible athlete, but Walker was and in my mind, will always be the best RB I ever saw in the SEC.

This smells even fishier now that I see you felt compelled to post it in two different forums.

Bo was here in our hometown back in October for an event in which they paid him to come. I can tell you he was paid very well for the 4 hours......and he was by far and away the biggest jackass I have ever met, athlete or anyone just anyone in general, a neighour, you name it.......just couldnt believe how awful he was with everyone......so I can see how what you are saying is just that......very true!

Bo was a guest at a wedding I attended in rural Louisiana last year. There was a weekend of events, and he was at each event giving tons of attention to the children, not to mention showing patience with adults asking him a myriad of questions regarding his career, the current state of auburn football, etc....

He wasn't as cool as Dave Winfield was in a similar situation about 10yrs ago, but sure seemed like one of the good guys.

Sorry big daddy, I agree w ur statement if u add the words "since Jim Thorpe." Bo was indeed terrific, but it would b hard to say he was better than Thorpe.Pretty exclusive company, never thought he got enough credir ans it was a shame that freak tackle ended his carreer

never knock any athlete for the records they set because they did it against the competition that was in front of them at the time

BUT ... could you imagine an athlete like Bo at 6'1 230 lbs that runs a 4.2 40 playing against and competing with the athletes of Thorpe's time :scared

not knocking thorpe at all. or trying to use that as a way to say bo is/was better.

saying that comparing them is tough to do because the philosophies in their respective eras were so different, i.e. - the forward pass was made legal Thorpe's senior year in highschool.

comparing their stats is retarded.
