Novak Djokovic?s attempt to rule the tennis world, set the record for most consecutive wins overall and most in a row to start a season all were ended in the French Open semifinals by Roger Federer. So that means tennis won?t have a Grand Slam sweep again this year after Djokovic won the Aussie Open and Rafael Nadal the French. Can Djokovic win his first Wimbledon title and take Nadal?s No. 1 ranking? Djokovic is the third-favorite at 5/2 on Bodog?s tennis odds to win the grass-court major that starts Monday in England.

Wimbledon can seed anyway it wants ? the only major to do so ? but it kept Djokovic the same seed as his world rank, No. 2, despite the fact Djokovic has never even made a final at Wimbledon. That French loss remains Djokovic?s only setback of the season against 41 wins. He still is 3-1 against Federer and 4-0 vs. Nadal this year on the way to seven titles. With Djokovic seeded No. 2 and Federer No. 3, those two would meet in the semifinals if form holds (Nadal is No. 1).

Djokovic chose not to enter a Wimbledon grass-court warm-up tournament because of a minor knee injury (tendinitis) suffered at the French. The Serb would take over No. 1 from Nadal if he reaches the final. But Djokovic?s best Wimbledon result in six tries is the semifinals in 2006 and 2010. He has never won a grass-court tournament and has been in only two finals on the surface.
