Here is a little story on Bodog, that just happened to a buddy and I, that work in the same office. First of all my tendicy is to play the dog approximately 70-80 % of the time, and my buddy plays favorites even more often than that. So today we are looking at the Texas Tech / Navy game. He decides to play TT -12.5 (that was the line) when he logged in under his ID, and he played it. So, I go to my computer (the next office over) and sign in. I get a line of 12, so i walk about 10 steps down the hall and ask if he got 12 or 12.5, he says 12.5. I thought that was odd so i told him that when i just logged in i got 12. He logged in under his ID, and guess what a line of 12.5 appeared. So he logged out and back in under my ID and the line of 12 appeared. We did this on both my and his computers 8 or 10 times over a time period of 10 minutes or so. We called bodog and explained the situation, and he said there must be a mistake, because they would never deal 2 different lines. The rep then asked for his account # and then my account #. He went on to say one of the servers must not of updated, then he made a mistake by telling us he would move my buddys account to the same server mine was on. 10 seconds later both of us had the same line. I asked if I could be moved to the +12.5 server and he then changed his story that it was the luck of the draw which server a person got. The server # is at the bottom of the page in the middle ( both of ours is now 3B) no matter how many times I log on and log off..

In ending BoDog is dealing 2 different lines based on tendencys. I know it is only 1/2 of a point, but i thought everyone should know about this shady incident.

That isn't a mistake in my opinion - I have seen that happen first hand too. A buddy of mine is a die hard Giants homer and last season made a play on them every week. Well after a while he caught on that his line on the G-men was always .5 to 1 point different than mine was listed in the books favor. I researched this some, and have seen a lot of similar accusations that Bodog adjusts lines based on the players tendencies. I don't know for sure - this is all speculation, but interesting that others on this board have experienced it.

a lot of books deal 2 lines or more, especially locals.

bodog has a reputation for stiffing companies they advertise with, including me. if they aren't going to pay their advertising bills, when will they stop paying their players?

i wouldn't let them on here if they paid me triple the going rate.

i say stay away!

good luck,

Bodog has been good to me as well (had an account there for more than 2 years), payouts have always been paid in a timely manner......... but the problem I have is they are dealing different lines based on tendencies. My concern is if they are doing this, what is next?

The fact that they're dealing two lines doesn't really bother me. First off I have a feeling many books do this and you better believe your local book does this, a lot more than two in my experience. I will check out these others, but I guess until I have a direct problem myself, no need to switch.

The part about this book dealing 2 or more lines shouldn't be that big of concern to anyone especially when you know what the line is before you make your bet.......you'd be surprised the number of books that do this.

The fact and to repeat what Jack said, that they've been known to stiff the people they advertise with should be enough to raise caution with this book. Now even though they may not have stiffed any players yet, I know I'd be a little hesistant to use a book that has had some dishonest business dealings in the past.

Plenty of better books out there.

Just my .02

you will like Pinnacle, tms, for sure. A little on the sharp side, but tons of reduced juice makes you feel good all year around. Carib is nice to deal with, too. Olympic is another, but a little high on vig, especially bases.
