"LAD +150"

as a friend, don't do it. This team is so absolutely lost right now it's not even funny. I don't ever remember being this down on the team. Their season is so far over. When Milton Bradley went down this team hit dirt. Tracey on the way out, Gagne done for the year.

I'd be very surprised to see them win 10 games by July 31st.

BDB agree with you on some points. However, not sold on SD or anyone else in the division. As bad as they have played they are still only 6.5 games back. With a trade or 2 and getting some others healthy could get right back in it. I for one would LOVE to see Tracey get the AXE. I have never been sold on him.

I have always liked Tracey, but him leaving wouldn't make me shed a tear. Maybe hes responsible for overusing gagne, maybe there was pressure from the front office. Won't know anytime soon.

You mention a few trades here or there, but that's the point. They have the money to spend, but I don't see McCourt doing it. He's a real estate developer that wanted the land. He's not much of a baseball man. He's there to turn a profit, not put a winning team on the field. I just don't see him making any trades. Even if he did want to trade, who is there to trade? I really thought they were gonna deal Gagne until he got hurt. Now there is no one left to trade except maybe Weaver? They need bats in a big way. Penny and Lowe threw gems last two games and they couldn't hit a ball. They need Bradley back big time.

As for the Padres, I'm not sold on em either. Wouldn't surprise me to see them win the division with 83 games or so. Doesn't really matter, the Cardinals will beat anyone in that division.
