I received for X-Mas "How to Make $ in Stocks" by Bill O'Neil and "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator". Have read both. Thanks for the tips and insight.

Does anyone here ascribe to O'Neill's CAN-SLIM theory. I have been tracking stocks with his method and one (MCHX) looks very promising based on its chart pattern. I'm a true novice at reading charts and was wondering if anyone here had a better grip on the techniques that O'Neill uses.

Thanks.

agree Reminiscences of a Stock Operator is a great book. you read the book again every year or two and pick something up new.

funny how a book written over 80 years ago in many cases still applies today.

Hoopsguru I have read and liked the Intelligent Investor. the updated edition that came out last year, Jason zweig introduction and footnote at the end of each chapter. have heard two positive reviews on this latest update to the classic.

ssd good luck with technical analysis.

thanks

Started another one called "Bull" Talks about the longest bull market 1982-1999 and then the bubble through 2004. Just got into it but it came highly recommended by the lady at Border's.
