Can Fedor Emelianenko Summon MMA Master Randy Couture from Retirement?

Bookmaker.com Posts Odds on Randy Couture's Return to Mixed Martial Arts

August 12, Costa Rica - Randy Couture has said that he would like to fight #1 ranked heavyweight fighter Fedor Emelianenko, but will he have to wait until he's done fighting to get out of the contractual choke hold on him by the UFC or can a match-up be made in Octagon heaven by the powers that be?

The UFC has been applying heavy legal tactics to keep Randy Couture in submission for most of 2008, and although Couture is a master fighter, it remains to be seen whether he can legally wrest himself from the UFC contractual grip and fight Emelianenko, or whether diplomacy will be the road to a dream match-up between the two titans.

Odds makers at Bookmaker.com have posted odds on Randy ?The Natural? Couture's next fight; if there will ever be one, and whether Randy Couture's next fight will be under the UFC logo or another's.

Randy Couture Next Fight Will Be Against

Fedor Emelianenko -1000

Any Other Fighter +250

He will never fight again +250

Randy Couture Next Fight Will

In a UFC Event +350

In a Combine Event +250

In Any Other Organization -350

He will never fight again +250

"With Lorenzo Fertitta's new focus on the UFC now, perhaps there is a better chance of repairing the relationship with Randy Couture and putting on the Couture - Emelianenko match-up that the MMA world is begging for" said Esteban Siles, spokesperson for Bookmaker.com ?Or maybe Mark Cuban has a billionaire's Ace up his sleeve and will be able to move the match-up to his new HDNet Fights organization. Either way, there's nothing better than a fight to see who will get to fight."
