We apologize for any inconvenience and ask customers to place their wagers early in order to avoid any disruptions.

Please use this site, www.sport-bet.net if you continue to have problems.

Just an update, nothing seems to be working now. Not bookmaker, not the mobile version of bookmaker, and not the link provided above. Unless it's just my computer?

Nope, not just my computer. Every other Internet site on the face of the earth works fine. The sportsbet link was working earlier, but I haven't been able to get on bookmaker all day. Not sure what they're talking about when they say it was only down through Sunday morning.

This is annoying on a sunday...

Tell me about it. I missed out on Wash +11 and I also had a parlay that I could have hedged and made a sure profit on. Unreal. I realize crap like this happens from time to time, I accept that. What I don't accept is that there will be NOTHING done to make up for this. Books don't really understand the concept of good business practice.

not defending bookmaker, cris, dsi, whatever, but they are losing more than everybody that's inconvenienced by this. WE are most likely going to save money by not being able to make bets there.

they are trying and this is top on the list, the main priority.

Jack,

I appreciate you checking in with updates. And you're right, I'm sure it's killing them that they can't get bets in. I'm just annoyed because there are a couple of bets I wanted to make that I couldn't get in, and one of them is a guaranteed winner because it was a hedge on a parlay that had just one game left.

I've used these guys for a few years and for the most part, they are solid. This is just a very bad time for this to happen.

Thanks again...

Yeah, I'm not calling Costa Rica to place a wager on a football game. Just one of my hang-ups, but I prefer to do everything online. Considering it's 2008, I can't justify having to make a phone call to another country just to get a wager in. I will just find another book if it gets to the point where that becomes a common occurrence.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I just think having to call in is more of a hassle than it's worth.

i'm just taking a guess that the hackers want $50K to open them back up. No, they don't understand how to run a business.

you should have at least 5 outs anyway, if you take this seriously. or, pick up the phone if it's that important.

my god, bashing probably the richest book in the world thinking it's their fault.

sorry for the harsh reply but think about it.

Not wanting to call another country to place a wager doesn't make me wrong. That's my prerogative. And that is supposedly the beauty of an online sportsbook. That you can place your wagers online, and you don't have to call in.

Like I said before, I understand these things happen from time to time. I assume that Web sites are going to be down. That's not exactly a shock. All I was saying is that's a major inconvenience to their customers, and nothing will be done by them to rectify it.

Maybe I've just managed to defy the odds but most of the business I've worked for have been very generous about comps/credits when their clients are inconvenienced. That's all I meant when I said mentioned business practice. Keeping your customers happy should be of paramount concern, IMO.
