Minnetonka hoops star who went to North Carolina transfers to Gophers

Former Minnesota high school basketball star Adam Boone is coming to the University of Minnesota.
Boone has signed a tender to come to Minnesota to join the Golden Gophers.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, the former North Carolina point guard won't be eligible for game action until the 2003-04 season, but he can practice with the team starting in the fall.
Boone played two years at North Carolina, starting 18 games last season. He averaged seven points and three assists while shooting 46 percent from the field and a team-leading 43 percent from three-point range.
Boone is a Minnetonka High School graduate and is a former Mr. Basketball in Minnesota
