Hey guys, I don't search the board each week looking for home-dogs to play, but it's no secrect home-cooking plus points is a hard angle to fade. This week the Vikings who have stunk all year have a chance to redeem themselves somewhat by beating one of the NFL's top team's (record wise anyway). I do give the packers some credit, good teams should win the games they are supposed to and at least split the tough ones. The Packers have done that. They have had the luxury of playing 4 of their last six aty home. They also have had the benifit of catching some pretty tough opponets while they were riddled with injuries ie. Miami and Detroit. They hav ealso benifited from a pretty soft schedule otherwise. On the other hand the Vikings have been beaten booed and ridiculed (and that's at the Metrodome). If these guys don't do something positive they will have to go out of town to Christmas shop. These guys are professional athletes, and do have some pride. This is a great opportunity for them to fell better about themselves. I think they play hard today and get the money. They are +7 at the Stardust. Take the points.

MINNESOTA +7 -3 units

I also love Detroit at home today also. They are healthy once again and Harrington is getting better each week .He did struggle last week at Lambeau, but who doesn't. The Lions fell behing and were reeling all day. This is not Green Bay on the road it's the YET"S at home. Detroit poses a much tougher challenge for the Jet's then they faced last week. Ray Lucas of the dolphins is no Joey Harrington. This type of offense gives the Jet's fits.. After the embarrasing loss last week , the Lions must be primed to have a good showing. It may come down to a field goals as both teams have exellent kickers. That being said give me the extra field goal.

DETROIT +3 -3 units

Well I was going to pass tonight, but my local guy has the game at 6, says he's getting pounded on Raiders.I do trust this guy and he say's it's alot of big bets,by alot of guys trying to get out of the trap they are in.That said, I've never gone for that revenge thing (in the NFL anyway)

It seemed you were really on that Viking game alot more than the Lions. Maybe you should have played the Vikes a little heavier than the Lions? Just a thought. I'm with you on The Pats.
Don't take my post the wrong way. I make the same mistakes all the time, and it helps when guys in here help me out.

Good luck to us tonight!!!

Hey Smashmouth, In all do respect, looking back I wish I had not played the Lions at all. There is a method to this madness though, and with my research Detroit was a solid 3 unit play today.

1. I had no way of knowing Az- Hakim, their only deep threat would be injured the first play of the game. That took away the threat of a deep ball and allowed the Jet's to play a different kind of defense.

2. The Lions did have the lead at the begining of the 4th quarter, when Porcher their best defensive lineman, pass rusher, and defensive leader went down with an injury also.

I'm not crying over spilt milk, but if i had it to do over,I'd make the same plays
