Ok, here we go, let the bowling begin..

Had a tough time not taking the Miners in this one given all the pre-new years day bowl game trends..
DD Favs 15-33-3 ats since 1980 in pre new years bowl action.
Dogs of 10+ cover at a 63% clip in this spot.
DD favs are also 2-10-1 ats vs teams w the same or better winning %.
And the Miners are motivated to win one for Coach Price who might be calling it quits after a shit load of years there. All this to say that I just think BYU out-classes them here and we have two teams heading in the complete opposite directions. Cougars are hot right now and really finished the season playing good ball, not so much for the Miners. BYU just too much IMO...:0074

N il has been good to me this year, looking for them to continue their solid ats run. Only concern is the coaching situation here. Never know what happens w an interim coach. MAC has really sucked in bowl games (0-11-1 ats since 08), but I think they control the line of scrimmage and run run runkurby kurby kurby
Freson D has allowed some big numbers and I think they have a hard time stopping the huskies on the ground. Huskies love the turf too (8-1 su and ats )! :0074

Glad i played the ML there, running my Bowl record to 6-1-1 now. I will edit and post a summary of all plays on page one making it easier to track throughout.

Liked this game since the openers came out, but the status of Nesbitt had me waiting. Hearing thta he still might not suit up, but doctors allowing, you better believe this senior wants to be out there. Since the injury, this team has limped along and has not looked the same. With him, I really like Tech, without him, i still think they get it done!

Yes they have played the tougher schedule with a close one vs Okl in Oklahoma back in September, another vs Utah and another (not so close vs TCU. Two main reasons i really like Tech here:

1. Coaching - the man at the helm means more in this sport than any other imo. Johnson is 10-2 ats vs military opponents. Beat Calhoun when coaching at Navy and was 5-0 ats last 5 vs AF at Navy while coaching at Navy. GT has sucked in bowls and that alone is the motivation here. Tech wins the ACC last year and played Iowa in a more impressive bowl game, so many think they aren't motivated for this one:SIB

2. AF D - This team has struggled against the run and GT is the best running team in the country (327 rypg). With Nesbitt especially, they will be very productive on the ground. Although Tech D allows a lot of sacks, AF does not generate many. The bigger O Line with GT gets it done imo.
