Bowl Season begins in style!
The bowl season is finally ready to begin and there are three great games on Saturday on ESPN. Here are brief previews from BroburySports.com.

New Mexico Bowl: UTEP (+11 ?) vs. BYU - 2 pm ET
The total from University Stadium in Albuquerque is 50 ?-points.
UTEP (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS) is out of Conference USA. They made this bowl despite a 3-5 record in-conference and going 1-5 in its last six. They?re coached by Mike Price and are in their first bowl since 2005, a 45-13 loss to Toledo in the GMAC Bowl.
BYU (6-6 SU, 7-5 ATS) is far more battle tested coming out of the MWC. That?s what happens when you play ranked teams like TCU (31-3 loss) and Utah (17-16 loss). Both of those were road games and they also played at ACC runner-up Florida State.
Humanitarian Bowl: Northern Illinois (Even) vs. Fresno State ? 5:30 pm ET
The total from Broncos Stadium in Boise, Idaho is 59 points.
Northern Illinois (10-3 SU, 9-3-1 ATS) won its final nine games, going a perfect 8-0 in the MAC, but lost in the conference title game to Miami (OH) 26-21. Tom Matukewicz will coach this game with head coach Jerry Kill leaving for Minnesota. That could be a bad omen.
Fresno State (8-4 SU, 5-6-1 ATS) was originally a three-point underdog in opening odds, but it?s all even now. This WAC school is very familiar with this stadium as it is home to Boise State. They?ve also played (and won) in this Bowl two previous times.
New Orleans Bowl: Ohio (+3) vs. Troy ? 9 pm ET
The total from the Louisiana Superdome is 57 ? points.
Ohio (8-4 SU and ATS) is out of the MAC conference, finishing second in the East division behind Miami (OH). The Bobcats are 0-4 lifetime in bowl games and 0-2 under coach Frank Solich. Last year, they lost 21-17 to Marshall as three-point favorites in the Little Caesar?s Pizza Bowl.
Troy (7-5 SU, 4-8 ATS) is the Sun Belt Conference champion. They?re a field goal favorite despite a worse record, both SU and ATS. Troy scores more points than Ohio (32.9-28.0), but they also give up a lot more (31.0-21.8).
