Bluegrass!
DTB....

This fell is from our neck of the woods, but I unfortunately haven't ever heard of him before. What about you??????

Kirby, a 20-year-old Bowling Green, Ky., resident and ARCA rookie, finished fifth at Daytona, second at Charlotte and third last week at Michigan in four starts.

"It think the car is capable of running in the top five, if not winning the race," Kirby said. "We have a great car, but my lack of experience may hurt us a little bit."

Kirby is not the prototype stock car driver at 5-9 and 120 pounds. He started racing go-karts at age 11 and moved up to the World Karting Association, where he was ranked No. 1 in 1997.

He moved to stock cars at age 16.

I know of him. Seems to be quite an up and coming young racer. His dad is the Coroner here (Kirby & Sons Funeral Home).

Adding to the race results u already mentioned, he race yesterday at Pocono, he had the pole position and finished third. He has the skills, no doubt. What makes it hard to break out in racing even for good drivers young Kirby has, and that's strong financial backing. Racing is a money pit, so u need deep pockets.

Thank You Mr 6-5 for bringing us up to par on the matter. I had never heard of the fellow till this thread, however my knowledge of the world of auto racing is very limited indeed.
