oddsmakers have made Edmonton
Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts very slight favourites to meet in the
Canadian Football League's 94th Grey Cup game.
Bowmans, the worldwide leader in online gaming for more than twenty
years and proud sponsor of The Argos, Eskimos, Stampeders and
Tiger Cats, today released its odds on the upcoming CFL season, making
Edmonton the 3 to 1 pick to defend their Grey Cup Championship, to be
held Sunday, November 19 in Winnepeg. Two teams, Toronto Argonauts and
Calgary Stampeders, are second choice at 3.5 to 1. Montreal, whom
Edmonton defeated in overtime in a thrilling 2005 Championship, is
listed as fourth
choice at 4 to 1. The Western Finalists from 2005 BC Lions
are next at 5 to 1 with Hamilton Tiger Cats and Saskatchewan
Roughriders at 6.5 and 8 to 1 respectively. The Winnepeg Blue Bombers
are the longest shot on the board at 15 to 1 to both host and take part
in the Championship.
"There seems to be a great deal of parity in the league this year,"
said Scott Kaminsky, Lines
Manager at www.bowmans.com. "The Championship is wide open and anybody
can win it this year. There is no real clear favourite and the longest
shot on the board is 15 to 1".
