Sounds like a plan Box
July 2018 we moved from Kyle, the town I grew up in, out to Seguin. We moved on to 10 acres in a smaller school district hoping to increase our odds on raising our then 3 year old to be a functioning member of society. Fast forward to today, we have 3 pigs, 26 chickens and 1 mother-in-law. While we are feeling very fortunate we did suffer a set back in July 2019 when my Mom fell and broke her hip. Her cognitive skills were off quite a bit and after recovery she was diagnosed with Alzheimers. We moved her from Buda to Seguin, Dec of 2019 and I've served as her primary care provider since. She is able to live alone at this point but no driving. I visit in the morning and evening and we take meds and visit, mostly about the weather.
Our son was born in the hospital closest to your house, Seton Southwest. Even though we had the new hospital in Kyle, Autumn's OBGYN was based out of Austin and we picked Seton SW because my Aunt is off of 1826 (The Salt Lick road) and I have 2 cousins who live in Circle C. I umpired a few games over at Burger Center and even more at the Oak Hill Complex. Driving from Kyle to Lubbock in college had me taking the windy 71 through Llano.
We have an office in San Marcos and looks like tax season is going to a little different this year. I think that is the most frustrating part of all this is without a timeline, it is impossible to make plans.
But we can plan this. Once we get past this Zombie Apocs (?? pending) I'll drive to South Austin (I haven't taken the new 45 Toll yet) or out to Driftwood for Salt Lick or Hays City Store. That will be in my court once you get back on the racquetball court.
Take care of yourself through this stuff. I'm glad your wife is staying put and only hope that time continues to tick as quickly as the past 20 years have gone by for this Covid to soon be a thing of the past. Check your reputation comments, I sent you my cell phone a few comments back.
Take care
