Spinks/Powell- saturday

Spinks/Powell- saturday

OK, somebody try to handicap this one! I thought Spinks was kidnapped by Somali pirates I haven't heard of him for so long. Powell has disappointed me more than once. Odds have Powell -130. Cory Spinks even $$$. Also it is possible Torres/Provodnikov to go over 7.5 as Toress has show he can be hard to make go away. Any ideas lunch?

I'm looking at the Frampton-Hughes Over 7.5...opened at -150 now -175. Hughes opened +2300 now +1250 so I'm not the only one thinking Hughes can extend this fight into the late rounds.

Any opinions from the crew?

Robin Reid vs Daniel Cadman -> Draw
This should be a close one that should go late / distance

Carl Frampton vs Kris Matthew Hughes
-> Not the distance and under 9.5

@ Box over 7.5 looks tempting and should propably work but would rather like to have 6.5 or even starts round 6 to be on the very save side

Looking for more

Cheers

uffff... have to have a closer look at those fights... first thoughts...

Powell Spinks should be a close one as the odds suggest, I may play some props...

The over at T. at +200 is maybe a value line but hmmmm maybe T. has some good motivation figthing at his "home court" but on the other hand I can imagine that P. wants to show his ability to the US audiance so maybe he will be pressing; thought one

---> had a closer look and I would rather not touch the over. (maybe even playing the under...?) Homecourt is very often supporting a fighter to hold his ground as long as possiable, but his maybe exactly the wrong idea vs. P. as I think if T. would just try to survive he could propably make it, but he he is going to fight I fear he will eat some punches he may not be able to handle for long... but just my 2 Cents :popcorn2

During an interview, Provod, now trained by Roach, says he will NOT eat lots of shots just to deliver his own, but box smarter. Who knows?

Yeah after losing to Herrera he apparently rethought how he fought and started to improve his boxing skills. From reports he was life and death with Chop Chop last time out so not surprisingly his reinvention is unlikely to be successful. But who knows I guess its best to improve other areas hopefully not at the expense of your strengths though.

Torres also saying stuff about wanting to move and not just slug. Torres is a poorer version of Provodnikov so stylistically I'm not sure it matters too much what they say. Neither guy is illusive or hard to find.

Maybe a small bet on o7.5 at the 2-1+ odds. 12-1+ on Torres for pure action might work as well.

Kim/Amidu

Kim/Amidu

Oh boy, another mystery. Kim no fights in a year, and Amidu has been on the tomato can circuit a bit. Who made this match up? I think I would rather see a snake and a mongoose go at it.
I WAS WRONG! Very good action fight.

C'mon sure both fighters are not high quality but there should be some decent action.

Despite never having seen Amidu I have to bet on him. Kim is hopeless. Yes has a good right hand which he has clubbed a couple temples for Ko's but he is so easy to hit its not funny. Surely anyone of a decent level should be able to outbox him.

Want to go more on Amidu but again blindly betting on him not being worse than Kim, who I rate very low.

*Didn't notice the difference of 6.5 instead of 7.5 there, I'd go for that.

Not surprisingly Kim inactive due to injury.

Ji-Hoon had surgery on a detached retina in May 2011, and confessed in a phoner, through interpreter/manager Paul Lee, that he got down after the Lenny Z loss. "That's natural," he said. "But I never gave up."

In fact, the day after the defeat, having traveled back from Australia to South Korea, Ji-Hoon went to the gym.

He accentuated the positive in our session, but Lee allows that the stakes are quite high going into Friday's clash with 20-2-1 Yakubu Amidu, a Ghanian who is managed by actor Vince Vaughn. "This time, we really cannot lose. Ji-Hoon cannot lose this time. It could be the last one."

Added to the other bets, a few more Draws (some close fights tonight) and small on Powell. I think he can do it, maybe even inside, but it is Spinks homeground... so you never know.

Lets hope so! My only play went in the soup, but at least the guy tried. Not like Rico Ramos, who froze once he got tagged. Keep up the good work and thanx for maintaining the schedule.

Happy to keep the weekly schedule, as long as I am not travelling =)

Regarding your play, it was close... you just needed 2more min and it would have been a win... those things happen you will get it back next week.
