Interesting match up here. Truth be told, even before I saw a line on this (Trout 1-3/9-4 back on Delvin), I had Rodriguez the favorite. We all know Delvin has, or should I say HAD, the reputation of doing just enough to lose. His last outing versus Wolak I think showed the world he believes he can be a winner. He has a couple of inches on Trout and I believe he has been in with the better opposition. Gentlemen, I feel the wrong guy is favored.

Trout's last fight.....

Trout's last fight.....

If you saw that you know what a tomato can he was in with, Frank LoPorto. I mean, he did nothing! Trout was having target practice all night. I think this bodes well for Rodriguez as this was Trout's last fight and would seem to be fresh in his mind. Maybe he envisions another marsh mellow in Rodriguez. I think not. Basically, we have a very live dog in Rodriguez.

Trout versus Canelo on Sept. 15...

Trout versus Canelo on Sept. 15...

Since Paul Williams injured himself in a motorcycle accident, another opponent is needed to face Alvarez. So talk is most likely Trout. So, is it a foregone conclusion Trout will beat Rodriguez? What happens if Trout doesn't win? Will Canelo face Rodriguez? Maybe somebody knows something we don't? How in the fuck can a fight be scheduled before the existing match up hasn't even happened yet? Is it any wonder why boxing has such a shady reputation. Wonder how Delvin Rodriguez feels about this potential "jump the gun" fight? Golden Boy and Oscar De La Scumbag are involved so anything is possible.

Trout is a solid under the radar boxer that I see as a bit underrated. Wolak and Trout's style are 180 degrees apart. Trout will handle Delvin, likely by comfortable decision.

Trout/Rodriguez

Trout/Rodriguez

One thing I like about here is the fight to go the distance.

I think some people might get caught speeding on Tarver @ -400

I know Kayode has some serious flaws but he can punch and has a young mans stamina.

We all had Tarver dead and buried 3 years ago. Somehow his win over Danny Green convinced us otherwise. This was after a lousy fight at Heavy against Aguilera. He turns 44 later this year and at one point the sands of time catch up to us all.

Don't know about Rodriguez needing the fight of his life to beat Wolak the second time. imo Delvin would beat Wolak 9 times out of 10. The first bout I thought he won and it was only close because he was just bumrushed so to speak in the first half of the fight. Once he solved Wolak it was one way traffic.

Rodriguez has a slew of controversial decision losses on his resume. He is a solid fighter who is still somewhat underrated.

Know nothing about Trout so can't comment on this bout...yet.

imo Rosado line tonight may be a touch to high. After predicting and watching Rosado destroy Karass I swore I would be betting on him next time out as well. But here we are and I'm putting down a small wager on Powell. Powell seems to be getting no respect and is viewed as a shot fighter by most. From reading a few reports and using common sense I think he beat Spinks his last time out. Instead of expecting a veteran on his last legs I think you see a desperate, hungry Powell tonight. Had been training with Delvin Rodriguez so despite the short notice should be in good shape.

I really like Rosado and his punch output and variety should be enough to outpoint Powell but the odds seem a touch to high imo. Something like -200 would suffice. Powell is a good counter puncher which will suit him against the active Rosado.
