We know who is behind JCC jr. We also can safely say that Jermaine White is a joke. I say that with all due respect(yea, right!). When a guy (White) has to fight a guy with a 4-32 record; loser of his last 6 straight, I got to wonder. Before that he fights a guy 16-0 and gets taken out in 3. Prior to that he is in tough with a man with a sterling 34-109 record and he toughs out a win. WTF!!!!. Why isn't this White character working at Walmart?
OK, at any rate, Chavez Jr. likes to whack guys White has been fighting at 135lbs. or so; is 5'8"" tall. Chavez is 5'11"; he has been fighting at 140-145 lbs. Can anyone say train wreck? I have to play the under 5 1/2 -160. I can't see Chavez not going for a KO win here. Five rounds may be long enough time to accomplish this.

Good luck frank, I may ride along here, you've been hot lately.

Found this fight report...

Anthony Peterson (17-0, 14 KOs), of Washington, D.C., scored two knockdowns and manhandled White throughout. Following a barrage of punches midway through the first round, Peterson sent his opponent to one knee. In the second, Peterson recorded his second knockdown when referee Mark Nelson gave White a standing-eight count. Nelson then stopped the contest after the third round.

"White was getting beaten pretty badly," Nelson said. "He was taking hard punches and showed distress. He told me that he was too tired when I went over after the third round."

Anthony Peterson, who is the World Boxing Council (WBC) No. 23 lightweight contender, was unfazed by White's aggressiveness.

"I am a dog," Peterson said. "There are killers out there everyday. I know White was undefeated, but he did not show me anything. He came out strong, but had nothing on his punches. I threw a lot of bombs in the first round and I knew I could take him out in three or four rounds.

White (13-1, seven KOs), of Gary, Ind., lost for the first time since turning pro in February 2004. The Indiana native came out firing, but was unable to slow Anthony Peterson's punishing left hook.

Thanks for the input. There is also an interview and quotes from these guys. White says people don't know who he is but WILL know soon. Chavez says how tuff this will be. I don't know, but maybe it's hype. It's just that when a guy fights total tomato cans, what happens when he faces a semi decent guy? Funny, after reading your post, I recalled they asked White how he would defend against Chavez' left hook to the liver? What got to White? Peterson's left hook! I like this one, but don't love it to death. You may want to wait until I do fall in love with one down the road.

Nice parlay. Williams looks devastating, BUT, if he thinks Margarito is Mitchell, he may be in for a surprise. I make Margarito a 3-1 chalk in that fight. Or at least 2-1. Hope I did'nt put you off betting some heavy lumber on Chavez, but I have seen him, and he has much to learn. A W is a W!.
