"the bunker"
agree

agree

with much more than a handful of these.......plenty of action to go around this weekend.....

friday and saturday, send the women and children to the mother-in-law`s,pull the blinds, ice the beer, grab some crabcakes, pizza and pistachio nuts and ......"LETS GET READY TO RUUUUUUMBLE"........

sorry.....had to do it...just the best damned weekend of boxing that i can remember....and almost every bout is a toss-up or at least conceivably winnable for both guys....

it`s on....

can't disagree with much here...I'm just bummed that I'll be on a plane and will miss all of the fights this Saturday night. The good news is the plane is going to Hawaii.

I've seen a few of "Big Time" McCline's fights, but I'm not too familiar with Boswell. The last few fights for Jameel have resulted in a KO (by him or him getting knocked out)...not too sure I would bet the over here.

I'm thinking maybe there may be some value in placing a small amount on a Toney-Holyfield decision. This fight will probably look like a waltz.

The only time McCline has been stopped in the last 8 years was a corner retirement against Vladimir Klitschko and that wasn't untill the 10th round. Boswell can't bang like Klitschko can.

McCline fights have gone over 7.5 rounds 9 out of the last 12.

McCline has won 6 of his last 9 by decision, and only has 17 ko's
out of 29 wins, plus 3 or 4 draws in which he didn't do damage.

And that's why I like the over in this one.

I was just wondering your logic behind the casamayor / corrales over. It seems to me that theses guys are big time bangers with somehing to prove. Early in the week i loved the under on this fight based on corrales KO record. Any thoughts?????

GL and Im staying away from the guty espadas fight. After some homework, found out that espadas has gone on a downward spiral since his fight with morales. Morales will be out with something to prove and will probably bash this guy. Regardless good luck boxlocks and thank you for all the great info.

BL, thanks for the correction...I'm not sure who I was thinking of, but you're right, McCline hasn't had any recent KO's. Any insight on Boswell? I see that he's undefeated...has he fought anyone who's not a tomato can?

"the bunker"
to be fair

to be fair

mccline stopped horace shufford in his last fight.....a guy very much like boswell.....an unknown gym fighter/sparring partner whom very few people are familiar with....shufford had several losses, but had fought much tougher opposition than boswell....

b.l. is right about mccline not being a "k.o."guy per se.....he`s huge and imposing....but,when pressed,or his opponent isn`t intimidated or afraid to fire back,i think he basically backs off.....

what i`m saying is that mccline is a super heavyweight sized guy with middleweight sized stones.....it takes guts to be a boxer period, but,as far as boxers go,mccline fights very cautiously if faced with someone that`s not intimidated and isn`t afraid to let his hands go....

i wish i knew more about boswell....i know he`s a solid "gym" fighter....that doesn`t mean that will translate into solid guy in a real, main event on national cable t.v....an awfully big stage for a guy nobody`s that familiar with....or that has never before had this kind of exposure...

i also agree that the over 7.5 at such low odds might be worth a look, even with such little real info on boswell....mccline usually doesn`t take alot of chances unless he`s confident about what he`s got in front of him....

hopefully, boswell`s got a little "hard bark" on him.......let`s hope he doesn`t freeze in his first big test....he`s 33 or 34.....he may not get another opportunity....

g.l.,fellas....and enjoy your trip,badjab...... ;)

I don't think Casamayor is a big time banger, more of
a boxer in my opinion. Corrales has plenty of power but
Casamayor showed a great chin in the Freitas fight and
should know how to avoid the big shots like Mayweather
did. If Joel is smart he has the tape of that fight on repeat.

Adding

Adding

Holyfield over Toney -120 1 unit

This turns my play on Toney by dec. into a hedge play.
If Holyfield wins, I win 1/2 a unit, if Toney wins I break
even. For some reason the line is moving in favor of
Toney even though he weighed in 12 pounds heavier
than he planned. Very interesting.

Pulling Nagashima-Roberts over and Cardenas-Reyes over.
Adding Cardenas by decision +125 1/2 unit as it makes more
sense.

3-0 for +3 units so far

Was thinking about adding 1 unit to the Forbes-Hernandez
over but the Hernandez-Santos fight early this year was
stopped due to a headbutt, and I don't want to ruin a
great weekend on that kind of bs.

5-0 for +5 units going into tonights action

Pulling out of the Casamayor +140 play, still like the

Thanks for the kind words, but although I had Casa. ahead
on points, if that fight goes two or three more rounds I
think Casa. ends up on his ass. Joel was stunning Diego not
hurting him, but Diego was hurting Joel more than he was
hurt in the Freitas fight. Sure my play on Casa. would have
won but I feel I would have lost if the fight was allowed to
continue. Just my opinion. Having a great week either way.
