Round prop: UNDER 10.5-130. Montiel is world class with a 70% KO ratio. This Rosas guy has lost his last 4/6 and has never been stopped, BUT, he is in another world in this one. Just looked at the photo at fightnews. He looks like a deer caught in the headlights. The ref stops this one.

"the bunker"
i want to play it `cause i like montiel an awful lot...one of my faves....seems to get better with age...

but,i don`t know anything about rosas...i do know he`s campaigned mostly at flyweight...

maybe i`ll play a throw away parlay with the montiel and dirrell unders...

not sure about either one...but,they`re interesting...

heres a clip of this fireplug oganov getting cuffed around pretty good by some australian pug named "kariuki"before getting the guy out with a big shot...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bibmV6ZWM_w&feature=related

oganov is a short, come straight forward brawler and will be there to hit...if dirrell`s careless this guy could hurt him...but,i don`t see that happening...

given the height, reach, speed, talent disadvantages and the lefty stance, looks to me like it`s up to dirrell...depends on how hard he feels like working... on a big cable t.v.-saturday night show,i`d hope he`sd be focused...

i can parlay both inside and lay a small 2 to win 3.....for shits and giggles...

btw...i sure would like to see some props on vic/mijares....

23 year old kid in with very marginal opposition, now in tough with a world class guy that has been in with the best. To me this is a mismatch of large proportions and it never hurts to add another KO/stoppage to your ledger, as I am expecting Montiel to accomplish.

Vic KO of Mijares

Vic KO of Mijares

Gee, I wonder if Montiel was watching that fight? If he was, I'd say he needs a strong performance over a relative untested/unknown commodity. Montiel is ranked 3rd behind Vic and Alex Munoz. If Vic can drop a guy like Mijares, how will it look if Montiel can't take out what is basically a kid fighting a man? Lets face it, the networks love bangers as do the fans, and if Montiel wants the big boys(HBO-Showtime) to feature him he needs to shine. I like my UNDER 10.5-130 about now.

I feel good about tonight frank

I saw the picture you were talking about...deer in the headlights is an apt description

the fight airs on TV Azteca

I will try to post an live link later

Montiel has been sitting down on his punches more lately

also the fight is at 118 tonight....better for us as Rosas has apparently never fought this high

Good luck...

Hey ghost how's it goin. Yea, if you find a link I'd like to see this one. Montiel looks very relaxed and cheerful whilst the kid looks petrified. It's been said people see what they want to see, so I hope that isn't the case here at least. At 23 years old, I don't see this youngster controlling the action very much; I'm thinking survival mode, but we'll see later. GL with the NFL today, if you play.

All prop bets will be returned IF the fight gets scheduled for 10. You would think the betting sites would catch wind of this and put down another line. I'd expect the new under to be 9 1/2 rds -140 or there abouts.

Yea, I know they will be cancelled, but I just felt like being a smart ass. I think Montiel can get er done inside of 10 also.

fudge. The line blew up to -190, now that early mover advantage is gone.

I emailed pinnacle about it, hopefully word spreads. Where on fightnews does it say 10 rounds? I only provided the boxrec link.

The bout starts around 8pm correct? so we should have time to contact the book and get a new line out. Like Romi said probably 9.5 -140, maybe 8.5 even.

yep

boxrec says 10 round non title match

bantamweight

better than losing, but this is going to seriously lower my parlay payoffs

damn....SO AGGRAVATING!

Is anybody 100% sure that this is a 10-rounder? As in you've talked to the promoters or something?

I spoke with Pinnacle several hours ago and now just recently, and they haven't been able to confirm the change in rounds. In fact, they're still accepting wagers for 10.5 rounds. Greek has taken it off the board, but not changed to 9.5.

Isn't is possible that boxrec is wrong? Could the books must have deeper contacts than we do?

edit - ESPN and Yahoo also have it as a 10-rounder. I hope this is sorted out soon, it would really suck if we couldn't wager on it at all.

pinnacle thinks the fight is for the WBO Super Flyweight Championship, but it's a non-title 118 lb bout. i think upon learning that it is a 118 lb bout boxrec, fightnews etc also learned it is a 10 rounder.
