Adding a 1/2 unit to Barrera

I can't believe how close we came to getting the Narvaez over.

Oh well, good capping just bad luck.

Question reguarding barrera

Question reguarding barrera

My father told me that in mexican newspapers, it was noted that barrera might bow out of the fight with tha PAC due to lingering complications to the medical treatments that were a result of the last morales ass whoopin'. Does this have any shread of truth????? and i am curious to why you aren't taking the pacman @ +300. Seem like a bargain line for someone who can legitimately beat barrera. I know that he is one of the better pound for pound fighters, but he hasnt really fought any fights of importance as of late and the one fight that did matter (morales) he got the snot beat out of him. The pacman has had some serious opponents that lead me to believe that he is better prepared for the fight despite his suspect chin. Antways, what do you think of the pacman as a dogg???? THank you and GL this week boxlocks

wtf??/

wtf??/

they finished the 10th,,,,he didn`t come out for the 11th....that`s over 10 full rounds....it`s a loser if he doesn`t fight in the 11th....that`s unreal....what a lousy break...

this pisses me off a bit....what happens to the under 10 bettors?.....do they push?.....don`t think i`ve ever lost like this before....

I was wondering the same thing, the fight definitly did not go under 10 full rounds and in my opinion it should either push on both sides or one side win and one side lose. Where's J/Oddessa when you need him, I would like an explanation for this.

I'm not even going to respond to that, I wouldn't even know where to start there are so many incorrect statements in that post. I'm not saying pacman can't win the fight I just don't think he will.

I took him -380 at 5dimes a week ago, line is now -440.
Oly opened him @ -400, it went all the way up to -475
before leveling out at -435. You can still get him @ -380
at Pinnacle, its up to you but yes I am laying the wood.

Just noticed BARRERA is down to -320 now, any reason for concern here, or is he still good to go to take?

There has been some serious late money put on the pacman probably due to the weigh-in pictures which show how good of shape he is in and the recent news about Barrera's head plate.
But I don't think any of this matters as Barrera has fought over 15 times since the plate was installed and has won all but one which was a contraversial loss to Morrales. And pacman being in good condition will not win the fight for him. He is moving up in weight and fighting the king of the featherweights, not a smart move without a few warmups at that weight. IMO pacman would have a hell of a time beating Tapia, Kelly, or Hamed all of which were dominated by Barrera. Morrales and Barrera are by far the best fighters 126 and under.

Box, with all due respect - the one head butt had less than nothing to do with the fight - in fact, it was Barrera who was intentionally trying to land head butts - I had Barerra and that was the worst beating I have seen in a while - Pac won everyone round in ass kicking fashion - I am convinced that if Barerra had a bat he would have still gotten his ass kicked - if they fought again 10 times Barerra would get slaughtered in all 10.

that was some fight

that was some fight

now we should get a mega fight between pacquaio and juan manuel marquez.........and i`ll say right now,i`m leaning marquez......and should get some odds....you hear me joey(lol)....

we may have seen barrera get old in one night...he`s only 29,but he`s been at it for 15 years at the absolute highest level.....

pacquaio fought the fight he had to fight...pressure and a high work rate....that might not be a good plan vs marquez.....

great win for pacquaio....and maybe the end of an all time great career for barrera......

very enjoyable ,entertaining fight....

Like I said, Barrera needed a ko to win. He obviously lost the fight. But if you think Pac only landed one headbutt you weren't watching very closely, he repeatedly used his head throughout the fight. Thats why Barrera started lunging with his head, it was strictly payback, he usually doesn't fight dirty like that. His eye was obviously bothering him throughout the fight and it was all due to Pac's head. I'm not saying that Barrera would have won without the headbutts but they definitly played a role in the fight, just like they have in so many fights lately. When George said that some things hurt worse than a punch, thats what he was talking about. And he should know he fought Holyfield who also uses his head as a third fist.

Barrera didn't show up tonight, whether it was due to all the distractions like he claims or he is just getting old. Either way the headbutts have to stop, they are ruining boxing almost as much as the bs judges.
