Adrien Broner is always exciting to watch. Even though DeMarco should be the favorite, public perception is that Broner is better, so that will not be the case. I think Broner is probably faster and elusive, so it might be a good fight.

So I says to my self, self, what chance does DeMarco really have here? Advised by Al Haymon, and promoted by Oscar De la bullshit. Still, barring a total rigged deal, DeMarco do have some street creds. However, after reading interviews with DeMarco's team, they almost are ready to accept a loss. I get the sense that if they win, it would be a shock to them. Not what I want to hear that instills confidence. Wish I could crawl inside Gary Shaw's head, DeMarco's promoter, and see what he REALLY thinks. Is this just a payday or what? Lets face it, Broner is the cash cow for Haymon, so are they really going to risk mucho millions here?

I agree w/ everything you said here, but aside from all the outside elements in the equation, the fight itself, I think The Problem won't be in any need of help. Aside from the issue of Demarco being a southpaw, I don't really see him posing Broner too many problems. He's a notoriously slow starter w/ terrible work rate until he gets going. If he isn't the first to get off, he has problems getting off. As odd as this sounds, I think he's actually the one that is slightly overrated in this matchup. I love his grit, the way he persevered against Linares, but he was way down on the scorecards.

when's the most recent time a mexican fighter beat a slick black american boxer...

Seems like it happens all the time now over the past few years. Unless the Afro- American is an ultra talented elite fighter which Broner may be. Broner was reticent with Daniel Ponce De Leon and he's about half a foot shorter than DeMarco. I'm not calling a DeMarco win but he is a gritty SOB. He looks like a string bean but he is awfully rugged and seasoned. Even while losing widely to the great Valero, he was game as can be and was never really rocked by a punch. Stopped more on accumulation and punishment. Remember, Broner has never had a real gut check test. Yes De Leon tested him but not in a physical, grueling way. At the very least, DeMarco will get some answers that we are curious about.

Evan, Broner is listed at 5'7"/DeMarco at 5'10". I got my calculator out and it keeps coming up with a 3 inch difference, not a "half a foot", basically 6 inches. I always knew that calculator was defective! No odds yet but I say they make Broner a 4-1 chalk. Looking for a points or round prop. I like Seth Mitchell surely. Big price, but he is solid.

My bad. Misunderstood. Yea, Broner was quite the bigger man versus Ponce. YIKES. The site you mentioned has Broner a 6-1 favorite? Well, that is too rich for my blood. And thanks for the site info. At least I can get an idea where this is heading. Lets see if Broner is 1 ounce over, as Shaw says he will pay through the nose if so. Too much money at stake for this fight to not happen.

5 dimes line

5 dimes line

5 Dimes has Broner a 10-1 favorite. I think that is a bit steep. They open up numbers high and see how many suckers will bet into an inflated line, then they have been known to drop it down as the smoke clears.

Yup, they are following the script. Broner now -750. I truly believe they move the line "on air". The -1050 was total bull shit.

Bayless to ref Pac/Marquez...

Bayless to ref Pac/Marquez...

One of the best referees in the sport, Kenny Bayless will be the third man in the ring when Manny Pacquiao faces Juan Manuel Marquez for a fourth time on December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. HBO Pay-Per-View will carry the event. The judges for the main event have been selected as well, with three experienced scorers - Steve Weisfeld, John Keane and Adalaide Byrd.
They should have a prop bet "will anyone be in any danger of actually getting hurt in the slightest in this fight". I would bet all the money I could get my hands on to bet NO. Bayless will stop a fight if he thinks a guy is breathing too hard.

My only SU play so far is Seth Mitchell -340. Not sure who can possibly knock out who. Will Broner stop DeMarco? Will Froch stop his guy. How about Bellew; can he stop his guy. All the aforementioned are way too pricy straight up so I'm still looking. I would lean toward DeMarco still being upright after 9.5 rounds. The guy Bellew is fighting does leave himself open, I noticed after viewing his past fights on the tube. Bellew says he is going for the kill? One never knows.
