Another meatball matchup. Walker is just a loose cannon, who, if he is lucky, can land a bomb to KO Arreola. I don't envision that actually. So props here we come. Chris inside/won't go the distance, stuff like that. We'll see.

Not much this week!

I'm not sold on Arreola...I heard he was badly hurt against Jenkins, he had problems with his weigt in his last fight...which could be attributed to lack of focus....his level of opposition is not stellar and I would guess its about on par with Walkers, but Walkers fought and beat Estrada...I dont know...I'm curious to see his weight...he said he feels comfortable, but wouldnt reveal his weight and at the same time said that his weight wouldnt matter as long as he felt ok...

Walker is an ok fighter, he certainly carries some power..not the best chin...he went 10 rounds on a couple of occasions...he avenged his only loss...and he seems to be highly motivated for this fight...especially since he is regarded as such a heavey underdog...

Arreola looks too strong and tenacious for Walker...

But I certainly dont see this as a 10-1 fight...I made a small bet on Walker at +800....I think at those odds he is worth a gamble considering that the jury is still pretty much out on him (Arreola)...

I had a small wager on Walker at +1000.

I have now added a medium wager at +700 on Walker after the Gevor debacle.

I don't like chasing but Arreola coming in at 254 is a disgrace and Walker weighed 231, the lightest weight of his career.

Good luck all.

Not for anything, but isn't Arreola usually walking around in a rotund fashion? I'm not crazy about Chris either, but Walker's opposition has been lacking. Bombs away! Also,as I said, HBO Lederman props can be a saver. I intend to parlay, if #'s are acceptable, Arreola/Williams first 3 rounds-1.5. My only concern is the Williams fight. Verno CAN win a round, but with Williams height and reach, it will be tough. Also Walker by KO, a speculative bet. Only way he will win, if he does.

Very reavealing weigh-in...not really surpsrising after what I have seen and heard lately...

The weight is always a very good indicator...Austin came in very leight in his last fight against Golotaj and he knocked Golota out in the first round...now we have a Walker who is at the leightest weight of his career -not by much though- and Arreola whose weight has been going up and down at 254...

So Walker is probably in top shape whereas Arreola is clearly too heavy.

I'm glad that I played Walker at +800...might even add a few bucks here...

I like Arreola. i know he's heavy but he can bring 7 punch combination's and can go at a hard pace for as long as it lasts. Apparently, Arreola is an avid iron pumper and has become bigger and stronger and hasn't lost his fluidity. Arreola KO in 2.:0corn

i played a parlay....

arreols itd/williams/phillips doesn`t go 1:30 of round 11/and dlh and got almost 2-1 odds...

the one that worries me is phillips hanging on for the full 12.....

debating whether to join the guys that put a small lottery ticket play on walker at the long odds....

I think if, and it's a big one, If Williams comes after Verno with a vengence, as he did with Quintana, it's history. He can wear this guy down and cause him to retire. I can't read Williams that good.

i was reading graham`s column on the fight and he brought up a great point regarding the 2nd ouma/ phillips fight...ouma,like williams,a high volume puncher, had phillips almost gone at the end of that fight...i remember it...

and that was 4 years ago...now he`s fighting this other left handed beast who is also capapble of throwing a very high volume of punches for a full 12 rounds...... ....and verno`s got a 5+inch height differential to negotiate...not to mention that imo, williamms probably gets more leverage on his shots...

i love phillips....he`s been very good to me....but,imo,this is just a bridge to far....

I think Verno will make things difficult for Williams, then fade late and get taken out.

This won't be a blowout, especially if he comes without his head like in Quintana 1; you could barely recognise him that night, he looked to be high on drugs or something.

Paul absorbed A LOT, and i mean A LOT of full shots from Quintana and others and lately i could barely comprehend him when he talks.

He might have a short career if he doesn't improve his defence and keeps walking through his oponnents shots.

Your right Williams with that great chin, doesn't seem to mind taking flush shots. I recall him letting Sharmab Mitchell hit him with his best right hook and he didn't even blink... but I don't think it's affected his speech yet, he's always been a card carrying member of the Zab Judah "know whum sayin" (repeat 30 times) club.

Added Walker/Arreola under 5.5 medium at -191, wasn't planning to, but I like the line.

Walker fights tight and crude, he's going to throw everything out right away, kill or be killed.

Also a small play on Williams KO -175, I think his long reach and high volume gets Verno out in the mid rounds.

HA HA..

So right...
Analysts were so quick to point out how great a chin Ouma had...

After Karmazin and Taylor went by, Ouma is now damaged goods...nobody can swallow flush shots continually... he's going to pay sooner or later...the argentinian puncher guy clocked him really good a few times before being stopped...

Short career i say...

Fighters in the ring...i stayed away from this one as I think CA will win by about the 4-5th rd but odds way too wide for me. IF Walker can take him a few rds then he has a chance as Aereola came in pretty heavt...good luck to those that wagered!

Give Walker an A for effort. Definitely worth a +800 bet.

WOW!! what a 3 rds. CA impressive in coming back from getting his butt kicked for the 1st 5 mins but IMO he gets exposed in this one. The kid has a bit of Rocky Marciano in him. He's a bit crude and unpolished but he's tough, can take a punch and he can punch like a mule. Congrats to those that won here.

Well, seems the books have shut me out of my "first 3 rounds" plays. I used to play them at 5Dimes; Bodog used to offer, not sure if they still do, but I have not funded that acct. in a coons age. My parlay, PW/CA, 1st 3-1.5 would have cashed and that's all I waited for all freakin day. They must be getting smacked around on these so I guess they pulled them. Venting.
