Play round prop; UNDER 9.5-200 @ sportsbook. Eventually Ponce will go to work on this class "c" opposition, on PPV to boot! Escobedo has only been KO'd once, but he has been in with marshmellows and has not seen the likes of Ponce.

Ponce could very well knock this kid out but I'm of the opinion that Ponce is a bit overrated and very beatable. His pts win over Penalosa was much closer than what the cards indicated. Pena hit him w/alot of shots and I felt a ko punch is what kept Pena from winning that one. He simply couldn't hurt the much stronger Ponce. Ponce was easily outboxed by Caballero. I know little about Escobedo but Graham had some very interesting comments regarding this one. The highly regarded Nacho Beristan has trained Escobedo for this one and is very confident of an upset win. Those comments alone were enough for me to put a few bucks on the +900 dog. Ponce is a strong heavy puncher but he's seriously lacking in proper technique. His equalizer gets him out of trouble but a hard punching, technically sound fighter is going to beat him. Can you chime in on this Punch and/or Tony? I think we have a nice opportunity @ very nice odds.

Nice find Romi. Read around on the net and it seems like he took 18 months off after his loss to get his head sorted out.

I'm on it small. I hate backing fighters I've never seen. But +900 seems pretty good value.

I know you didn't ask me so sorry for butting in but I agree that its definitly worth a small shot at those odds. I just got in at +900 and noticed that 5dimes is already down to -800/+550

Thanks for the heads-up

Sorry Box...always like to hear your comments on the fights and everybody else on here. Those 2 guys seem to get the inside scoop and was just wondering if they heard anything. I know Punch is big on Nacho. Glad you and conan got in on +900. I put 250 on it. It would cover a large part of the floyd wager if that somehow went south. GL on this!

I also bet $100 on Escobedo a couple of days ago when the odds came out.

Ponce is sooo crude I think he could be beat on any given night.

This kid also fights a weight division higher than Ponce so Ponce MIGHT not have his usual strength advantage.

Good Luck.

Well, good luck to you puppie bettors. I still feel Escobedo has been in with such poor quality of opposition that he is at a disadvantage. Anyway, I hope he can KO Ponce. I don't care. But I doubt it.
