here`s what i`m thinking about tomorrow night......
i hit klitschko inside the distance at -136 early on.....
and have several parlays involving klit....klit inside the distance.....robert guerrero(in yesterday)....famoso gomez before that went through the roof....caught it for parlay purposes at around -400 and change...and cotto inside the distance......
i lost a parlay with jirov/guerrero....and i still believe jirov gave that fight away...
as far as klit is concerned, here`s what i see....a guy that`s 6`8" tall.....he`s not the monster puncher that some europeans make him out to be......but,he has 33 stoppages in 34 wins...that says something....
and he`s stopped some guys that are hard to get out of there....larry donald....ross purrity....vaughn bean.....
not a murderer`s row...but still, these guys don`t get stopped very often...he punishes guys as the fight goes on...
i see the brit williams as a dangerous puncher....a guy that comes forward...270 pounds on around a 6`1 1/2" frame....giving up lots of height and reach here...he`ll have to get inside...to have a shot,he has to come to klitschko and get lucky...he sure can`t stand outside...
the thing that makes me think is that guys have told me that williams has been hurt by smallish heavies in britain...
and the one time he stepped up and fought a really strong guy that punches a little and was in his prime,he was stopped in 5 by sinan samil sam(3 knockdowns)....please,no kali meehan comments...he`s not for real...
the tyson thing?.....tyson`s hell for 3 or 4 rounds.....after that,it`s over...and in the williams fight,he did get legitimately injured.....williams almost went early...tyson lost his base due to the leg injury and after the midlle of the second, couldn`t get leverage on his big shots.......of course, tyson`s around 5`10" and i`m being kind...and he`s a shell of what he was,anyway.......
i think that off the tyson fight, williams is getting way to much respect....mike obvious still has some juice with certain segments of the public...
the tyson rep still carries some weight...and to be sure, williams was chosen for tyson to beat...that`s why he got the fight...
he hasn`t fought, much less beaten a top 15(maybe 20) heavyweight...this is all due to the tyson debacle...
beating julius francis(who actually beat him once),michael sprott, kali meehan and a post-retirement/injured tyson doesn`t convince me...
of course,i`ll hedge with williams inside the distance at +600...and maybe make out better if he hits the lottery.....or that big, ugly cut from lewis opens up again....lol
if klit goes the distance, then i`ll need the cotto/hernandez props along with guerrero to pull me out of the fire....
i guess it could go the distance...but,i don`t see williams not taking his shot...he did vs tyson...i think he will here.....and i don`t think it will end well for him...
i just have to think that he`s out of his depth....
btw....congrats on the castaneda over...
