Don't know nothing about baseball but from the movie with Tomie Lee Jones, Ty Cobb would be a badass in the ring.

Don't know nothing about baseball but from the movie with Tomie Lee Jones, Ty Cobb would be a badass in the ring.

In the movie, which takes place sometime in the lates 50's, very early 60's, Cobb (Jones) visited Reno. He was called on stage and asked how would he do if he were playing today. He responded by saying he would only bat about 290. The emcee said really, but Mr cobb you batted 365 over your career, why would you only be able to hit 290...Cobb said, because I'm over 70 yrs old you stupid son of a bitch :142smilie

David Rodriguez-Ty Cobb at The Don Haskins Center

"El Paso?s undefeated David Rodriguez continues his assault on the heavyweight division on FRIDAY, FEB. 11, 2011, when the powerful assassin meets Ty Cobb at the Don Haskins Center in the most important battle of ?Nino?s? career.

For Rodriguez, 33-0 (31 knockouts), training is winding down as the focus and intensity revs up. The Coronado High School graduate has incrementally removed all of the possible distractions from his life as Friday Fight Night approaches.

D-Rod has even shut down his social networking capabilities.

?I?m signing off of Facebook until after the fight,? Rodriguez wrote on his status bar early this week. ?Thank you for all of the support. I will see everybody on Friday, Feb. 11.?

Rodriguez will meet Cobb, 12-2 (8 KO?s), of Wichita Falls, Texas. It will be his first fight since a third-round knockout of Daniel Bispo in March."

Man, this is serious - he is even staying off facebook.

What a Joke. Facebook.

I bring tragic news: Ty Cobb has pulled out of the fight.

Imagine if you had an hour with this man at the bar. What stories and wisdom would you get.

Oh and I love El Terrible. What a badass.

Abraham plans big year
First Bozic and Ward, then Super Six title

?The year 2010 is over for me. I?m not talking any more about the defeats. I?m only looking forward,? said King Arthur Abraham three days before his comeback fight against WBA #9 Stjepan Bozicin on Saturday at the RWE-Sporthalle in M?lheim an der Ruhr, Germany. He added that he doesn?t underestimate any opponent and plans to make 2011 his year. ?I have two Super Six fights. First the semi-final, then the final. In the fight against Bozic, I will satisfy my fans again.?
