So we have a tripleheader on FNF (Gamboa, Prescott, Gutierrez)

The Prizefighter light heavy tournament on Sky

The Pavlik-Cotto PPV with Duddy vs. Vanda on the undercard

Anthony Petersen vs. Edner Cherry has been cancelled due to injury (too bad, I thought the over was a good play there)

odds should be posted later today

let's see what we can do

Early odds now posted
a few of interest:

Jesus Gonzales +190
Richard Gutierrez -240

Duddy -800
Vanda +500

Wolak -500
Bravo +300

Gamboa and Prescott both massive favorites

Gamboa over/under set at 6.5
Prescott over/under set at 4.5
Cotto over/under 7.5
Pavlik over/under 8.5

I wanted to take the under in the Prescott fight, after looking at Toledo's atrocious record
but 4.5? Yikes.

Jesus Gonzales +190

fool's gold?

a couple fights ago I would have said no way. But the way Gutierrez looked last fight (the draw), Gonzalez may have a shot here.

Check out this cat Toledo's record !
(Prescott's opponent)
:mj07:

Of his 34 "WINS", 24 of them are against guys with ZERO pro victories. I repeat - ZERO. They found 24 guys without a win for this cat.

:mj07:

That's an amazing stat. Prescott just might do this under 4.5. But I really hate a line that low.

I have recently lost under bets on:
Gamboa-Gonzalez
Soto-Lorenzo II
Mundine-Taylor

These can be tricky. Tempting but tricky.

Gutierrez-GOnzalez is off. Thos is from Graham site:
Matchmaker Eric Bottjer said today that the fight (Prescott-Toledo) might be upgraded to a 10-rounder after the cancellation of the main event between Richard Gutierrez and Jesus Gonzalez, with Gonzalez?s camp saying their man will not be able to make the contracted weight of 154 pounds.

Good luck Romi
I think Concepcion is a great play, especially at that price
I think Gamboa gets it done (this time) under 6.5

I'm not brave enough to take Prescott under 4.5, but I think it happens

I'm seriously considering Pavlik ITD to Cotto ITD LARGE
I just don't see how Rubio makes it the route

I want to think more about it

I am going HUGE on Gamboa under at -225. I tried to place my wager at 5-Dimes at -195 but when I hit the place bet button the line had changed to -265 :scared .

Although Estrada has been stopped 4 times, the one that really sticks out to me is Scott Harrison stopping him in 5 rounds.
Harrison is a really STRONG Featherweight but he is not a puncher.
If Harrison stopped him in 5, I expect Gamboa to stop him in 2 or less.
He had a pretty shitty showing the last time and I expect him to come out blasting.

gotta say it is super annoying how 5dimes (once again) is only putting odds up one day at a time

So today they have Fridays fights, but no fights for Saturday (beyond the main events)

Duddy, Wolak, Shea, etc. all not currently listed

lazy or strategic?

Debating on whether or not to hit the under on tonights fight 10 1/2 rds. Conceptions -600 should certainly win straight up but i think he probably gets this guy out of there. Not crazy about -175 but 10 1/2 rds gives him plenty of time to do his work. Still debating this.

damn you read my mind dude
Concepcion did get Esquer out in 5 and his last fight was a 1st round KO
dude can crack
however the opponent has never been stopped

Did you notice this thing is scheduled for 11 total rounds? Strange.

BTW it's listed to go off the board in an hour

EDIT: decided to stay away from the props....lots of opportunities this weekend
just used Concepcion straight in a few parlays

i will look for a result Romi
it's about 7pm now in Panama

You the man Ghost! I wanted to play the under small but all lines are off. I'll more than settle for a win but I think Concepcion gets him out of there. Good luck!

Yeah if Concepcion stopped Esquer legit that is a pretty impressive result. Esquer is a tough guy.

For that reason and the Arambulet result, I decided to take a shot. Good luck. Some youtube footage on Acosta didn't give up too much.

Off topic- I had been really wondering , practically on a daily basis, if shark attack's were down due to the down economy with people taking less vacations and what do you know- my intuition was quite accurate. Check this out

http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/economicrecessionmeansfewersharkattacks

Anyone else feel a sense of relief with thiis ever-important, key piece of news. Now I can get back to focusing on boxing wagering, although I do feel bad for the sharks who aren't exempt from the recession.

Thnx Ghost. I also looked everywhere but couldn't find the result. Next time I'm going directly to the board :)

My plays so far:

Gamboa under 6.5 1,48
Paris-Bienias over 9.5 1,83
Paris 1,376
-I don't think Paris is all that better than Bienias but he is stronger and bigger and Bienias is not a puncher. Last card I bet on that was held in Italy (Branco,Vidoz), home boys would lose a fight only if they got stopped.
Kotlobay 1,35
-Again, this is held in Russia and Kotlobay opponent is Hungarian who jumped 30 pounds in year 2008. Kotlobay's record is not a very good one, but I think his nationality and the fact that he is natural cruiser will prevail.
Cotto over 5.5 1,769
I'm hoping Cotto will take some rounds and not rush things.

Good luck guys!!
