David Tua V. Robert Hawkins

David Tua V. Robert Hawkins

Anyone know the weigh-ins for these fighters tonight?

I want to make sure Hawkins hasn't totally thrown in the towel because I'm leaning towards the Over 9.5-130. Tua doesn't seem to be applying much pressure in his recent fights and Hawkins has been good at just surviving in past fights.

Great Pick on the Over 7.5. Barnes has gone the distance with much more heavy handed guys than Marrone. Also, I hope Marrone learned from the Zack Page fight that he's vulnerable to the canvas if he expends too much energy going for the KO. Plus, Marrone, imo, isn't a devastating puncher. Most of his KO's have come to much weaker chinned opponents by volume punches not power.
I played this one low medium play.

By the way, I think the Davis v. Wilson fight should be interesting to watch while it lasts.

Respectfully,
Matt

What 6 rounds only? Awwwe

What 6 rounds only? Awwwe

Marrone was scheduled for 8 or 10 rounds, but someone made the call to shorten the bout. The snooze fest looked like it would easily go the distance no matter how many rounds were scheduled. Why is it that the ESPN scheduled rounds cards only get changed? hmmm.. Maybe they can only show 2 hours of show time. Guess I should be thankful that the under 9.5-130 on the Davis v. Wilson fight cashed, but it just bugs me when they conveniently change the length of the fight and totally obliterate a good pick.

It's cool Boxlocks..no worries

Yeah I got the over on the tua fight, but just not big as I should of played it cause sometimes its hard for me to find enough info, including weigh-in info on heavyweights. If you know any good sources, I'm all ears.

I'm looking forward to this week too. The Miranda v. Green fight should be fun to watch those too bangers.

I was standing about 20 feet from Allan Green when he got blasted by McCrary last year, one of the most intense live events I've ever witnessed

Off Topic...I'm surprised there's not more talk about the Vasquez-Marquez fight this week. At +140 I think Vasquez may have a shot, Marquez has been hurt before and can be outboxed, should be an excellent fight either way

Marquez v. Vazquez

Marquez v. Vazquez

This bout looks like a pick em fight. You can really make an argument for either fighter, but Vazquez does have a few things going in his favor. Vazquez is staying at his natural weight, whereas Marquez is going up to 122 from 118. Vazquez might have more confidence as well, knowing that he can come from behind to win like he did in his last fight. That being said I honestly have no idea who will win and I would not be surprised with a late round (9-12) TKO by either fighter because these guys both carry dynamite in their gloves.

I reckon if anything, the Gonzalez fight will give Marquez more confidence. Vazquez got totally outboxed and hurt in those first 6 rounds. Though Jhonny is bigger I think Marquez hits harder and more often. This is going to be a great fight but I'm not sure how Vazquez will handle Marquez's power, he can box aswell as punch. I'm going for Marquez by late stoppage.

Miranda over Green too which should be explosive.

It is possible that Marquez has some confidence too from reviewing Vazquez's last fight and seeing his flaws. But for Vazquez to persevere in a fight where he was clearly losing gives him the "It ain't over until it's over" mentality that he needs for a fight with Marquez.

That being said I think it is a pick'em fight and I'm not picking anything but the under 9.5-145
