2/6
Mendoza-Ruvalcaba under 5.5 -130 1/2 unit (loser)

2/7
Mitchell-Ndou over 9.5 -180 1 unit (winner)

2/9
Nanthachai-Sugita over 9 -125 1/2 unit (loser)

Joval and Hernandez have both gone the distance in 8 of their last 9 fights. Joval has never been ko'd and Hernandez has only been stopped once (Roshii Wells tko 5, three years ago). Since then he has gone the distance with JC Candelo twice, Kassim Ouma, and Winky Wright. Hernandez is stepping up in weight for this fight but Joval only has 14 ko's in 31 wins and is 35 years old. I don't see him stopping the 28 year old Hernandez. Like I said, both guys have gone the distance in 8 of their last 9 fights!!! I've never seen a stronger stat to support an over play.

Sugita has never been ko'd and is fighting in his birthtown of Gifu, Japan. He is ranked 10th by the WBC and 15th by the WBA. He fought to a 4 round technical draw with Javier Jauregui who is now the IBF lightweight champ. I'm seriously considering laying a 1/4 unit on Sugita at +425, I'll post it if I decide to play it.

what are the chances

what are the chances

that mendoza/ruvalcaba goes over 5 rounds....these guys don`t seem to twiddle their diddle in the ring...and ruvalcaba, after being retired for a few years, seems to have a shaky set of whiskers...

I cashed in on the Woods-Johnson over the first time they fought, but the odds were much more reasonable then. If Johnson learned anything from the first fight he'll be going for a ko in this one as that is his best chance of winning in Wood's back yard.

The Mendoza under 5.5 -130 at five dimes looks very solid, I didn't realize there was going to be a line on that fight untill today. Hope you don't mind if I borrow a 1/2 unit on this one.

I'm also going to lay a 1/2 unit on the Mitchell-Ndou over 11.5 +100. Mitchell is a great illusive boxer with a good chin, but he's lacking in the power department (9 of his last 10 wins were by decision). Ndou also has a great chin and has never been ko'd, the only thing that worries me is Ndou taking the fight on short notice. Reports say he was already training to fight but he wasn't training to fight one of the best in the division. Mitchell was training to fight Kostya for the title so he will be in excellent shape. Lets just hope Ndou is as ready as he claims to be.

Still waiting for a line on the Hall-Griffin fight.

Glad to see Johnson got what he deserved in the first fight.
I just can't believe it was a unanimous decision.

I also had some descent parlays riding on the over, but my play of the night is still to come.

Boxlocks, why does ESPN say the Hernandez/Joval fight is only 10 rounds?

Good question seymour

I don't get it, everywhere I checked had this fight as a 12 rounder, all the books had the over/under between 10.5 and 11.5 rounds. Why would they change it at the last minute?

This is the second time since I started posting here that a fight length has been changed at the last minute. The first time it happened I got screwed on an easy over. (no action)

Oh well, at least I can't lose now, but I would still like an explanation for this bullsh*t.

Absolutely, unless they want me to withdraw my account and quit using their services completely the over/under plays on this fight will be no action. But I would still like to know why the change was made without letting anyone know about it.

I played some at 5 Dimes and some at Olympic - I have no doubts that Olympic will void the wagers.

5 Dimes graded it a loser but I just called and explained the situation and I assume they will grade it a no action.

Anyways, that fight was a total over if not for the head butts - Joval has no power but he is technical sound and in great shape.

5 Dimes refunded my money.

Adding a 1/2 unit to the over 9.5

Adding a 1/2 unit to the over 9.5

I just saw a picture of Ndou at the press conference and he looks to be in excellent shape. Also read that he weighed in 3 pounds under the 140 pound limit which is great news as my only concern was Ndou not being prepared for the fight.

I got the over 11.5 +100 at 5dimes yesterday, but now the under 11.5 is at +122 so I'm going to hedge out and stick with the safer bet of over 9.5 at Oly which is now down to -170.

nice job box like i said mine was just a flyer hopeing the long flight and short time might take it's toll on lovemore it was worth a shot at the + have mitchell at the big price but was not going to post it no-one would lay that much here or i don't think so was worried in the first few rounds up to 7 but think i am ok on the side or should be, so will break even like i said worth the chance for the + it would suck if i lose the side in the next 2 rounds think mitchell has it by 97-93 right now on my card will see.
