Very small wager on Tarver at +290.

Green is no Spring chicken himself and although he looks really good at the weigh in, I still think Tarver is the naturally bigger man.

I also keep in mind that Green was almost dead 6 months ago until they removed a cist the size of a softball from his stomache.
It was alleged that he lost 30 pounds during his recovery.

"the bunker"
on tarver at those odds,too...not sure how he does it short of a stoppage, but he`s always been very tough for everyone that isn`t quicker and/or slicker than him(jones/hopkins/dawson/eric harding...harding looked like a world beater for awhile) with the exception of a younger glen johnson.....and that was a split....

can green bring that kind of pressure for 12?....i don`t think so......but,i guess he may not have to in australia...

he is 42.....but green`s 38...maybe he gets out-worked....but given his history,it`s usually slick guys that beat him...not white guys with average reflexes....and tarver`s chin can`t be questioned...

the age and the venue are the ?????

10 years ago...hell,5,tarver`s probably the fave...

Agreed! But I think Greens Chin and the venue make him hard to beat!

"the bunker"
through 4,this is a mismatch...green getting schooled...reduced to looking for one big counter....

tarver had him down in rd 2...

unless something changes dramatically....green landing a huge shot...tarver is making it look easy...

"the bunker"
green steps it up in the 7th...tarver breathing hard and looking tired.....

tarver on the backfoot....

would be amazing if tarver gave this away....

Tarver is a tough veteran. He's 42 but he's only had about 35 pro bouts so he's relatively fresh. He's a game, determined guy and mentally tough. He can legitimately compete at the upper levels of cruiserweight. Props to the Magic Man.

i agree...i never really liked the guy,but after watching him call fights and not be afraid to disagree with the talking heads on the broadcast,i`ve grown to have mad respect for the guy.......

he really has only lost to extremely talented fighters...very underrated......green wasn`t on his level.....

i know the aussies were crestfallen....after reading horseshit like,"danny will have beaten jones and tarver...so that should cement his legacy as an all time great"......i`m paraphrasing......but some of the stuff i read was every bit as ridiculous....

day gf mourning for boxing fans down under....

you can`t keep fighting crap at home...i`m not comparing bute to green...just watching them both you can tell theres a class difference....

but bute needs to fight some legit guys before people start crowning him "the man"...he looks the part...but he`s proven absolutely nothing, resume -wise...

I think Zab is going to be really dangerous in the first 3 rounds.

After that, Khan dominates.

Fury/Chisora is too hard to predict. I fancy Chisora but Fury pulls wins out of his arse sometimes.
