I have never seen Yordan. I have seen Guerrero live and on the cable many times. Robert comes to fight. He is not Oscar or any number of stiffs who are afraid to mess up their pretty faces. He is hungary and needs to shine to get the big bucks. I say he takes this kid apart INSIDE the 7.5 prop-125.

Guerrero has 4 KOs in a row, and he is going to get his 5th in front of the hometown crowd

just a matter of when

His wife was having medical problems and he had some distractions and still took care of business. His opponent is just 21yrs. old and hasn't really fought at world class levels. One thing I feel strongly is Guerrero's ability to finish and his killer instinct. He is an asassin in the ring. Rocky Marciano used to talk about that alot; guys not having killer instinct. I believe this boy do gots it.

Just to follow up a tad. In the only video I could find, Yordan vs Meza, Yordan was eating a lot of left hooks. Seeing as how Guerrero is a lefty, and has tnt in in his shots, it should end early. Yordan is sound fundamentally and has quick hands. He is agressive, but I don't see him having the firepower of Guerrero. A shootout is what I am looking for.

"the bunker"
was looking at an ortiz-mighty mike over 9.5/kirkland-julio inder 8.5 par laying 1 and winning better than 1.5....

ortiz has been whacking mid level guys, but arnaoutis has hung in with some punchers(urango/holt/torres)....in that 3 you have some guys that have "heavy hands" and some with "speed power",so arnaoutis has seen very diversified styles and hasn`t been stopped yet....you also have the fact that ortiz is facing a fellow lwfty that is at least as tall(and maybe a shade taller).....

the julio/kirkland fight speaks for itself...2 punchers with chins that can be had...

hopefully, julio doesn`t go into boxing mode as he has a time or two before...

comments?....talk me out of it if you think i`m missing something...

This fight with Arnaoutis may be the one that sells me on Ortiz as I'm not completely sold on him so I was looking for reasons to take a shot on Mighty Mike, then I see who's training him- Buddy "Your taking too many shots" McGirt- Ughh. Can't say I know Buddy, but he just looks like he's someone who's just fat, happy, and on cruise control.

i`m not sold on ortiz,either..

that`s what i was hoping for...something i wasn`t aware of...

knowing that the albatross/jonah is in the greek`s corner is enough to queer the parlay for me...

thanks for the heads up....:thumb:

Punchy; that snake bit SOB Mc Girth!!! Whatever he touches turns to s**t. It's amazing guys still use that disaster. Goodnite Mike! Not too sure about the others. Two punchers, sometimes goes many more rounds than expected as they tire each other out. After 4 rounds, I think Guerrero gets into gear.

I'lll be curious what Arnaoutis brings- he's had some nice flashes. such as taking out Feliciano in 1 round, taking out Athumani quicker than Urango or Bradley, holding his own against Urango, and then the inexplicable passivity, such as the tapping of the gloves after flooring Torres and allowing him to get the questionable decision. I think he'll need to hurt Ortiz early on and get his respect to have a chance. Ortiz is monsterous at jr welter and at age 22, I think he'll be a welter before long.. I may take a shot at a money punch from The Greek fighter.

I agree with Frank here

I'm gonna take the Guerrero under LARGE
but I get a weird feeling with Kirkland-Julio
two determined big punchers - it should go nowhere near 8.5
but sometimes this equation goes rounds

yeah...he`s unpredictable...he looked absolutely clueless vs holt, but holt`s reflexes are ridiculous...

doesn`t have a bunch of knockouts, but can have sneaky power on occasion....

i`m not sold on ortiz` competition...pretty much all the "names" are mid level guys...and most are "stand in front of you" type guys....with the exception of arrieta who took the fight on like 14 days notice and is really a super featherweight...

there is a chance that ortiz is a highly protected guy...you`d think he would win at home vs arnaoutis...but this is a step up...

pretty big step up at that...you may have something with that small play on the "greek sheik"...

you have me thinking b.c...

nah....probably not touching it...i can see arnaoutis going into his shell...

WHEW!!! Guerrero made the wise choice by getting out of Dodge last nite. Yordan is a handfull. Not to say eventually Guerrero would not have solved him, but he was smacking garlic boy around pretty good. Something to remember for future reference. Ghost; what did you think?

I was very pleased when Guerrero took the way out, Frank.
After the first round I turned to my buddy and said "Uh-oh I could be in some trouble here".

Quick hands. Good movement. Fast Feet. The Indonesian came to figh. No doubt.

As punch stated, Guerrero's body work may have eventually got to him, but I didn't want to find out!

Not with that much money on the line.

I imagine Guerrero's rep will take a bit of a knock for stepping out of the scrap (Kellerman took a dig later in the show), but better to save our money and his glossy record. Fight another day.

Of course if I had bet on the dog, and Guerrero had quit like that, I would have thrown a hammer threw my TV !

I had quite a bit of late money on Guererro -800 and a few bucks on the under -140. I don't think the kid would have pulled off the upset but like you I'm glad that I didn't have to find out. I gave rd 1 to Guererro but the look of frustration on his face was cause for concern. When an agressive fighter doesn't have a plan B, it can be awfully frustrating for those that wagered on him. I was more than happy with the NC. If there is a rematch, I'll probably lay off. The cut was bad but I didnt see any blood tricklling down that caused him not to see...ass Guererro was claiming.

Yeah, Guerrero definitely opted out of the fight. He may have won but didn't want to risk it. he knew he could still get paid and avoid a blemish on his record while avoiding fighting a surprisingly solid and determined opponent with a handicap. The cut was nasty and jagged looking but it appeared like it may have been manageable for awhile.

Guerrero did seem tight for some reason after coming off looking like a terrific boxer with his dismantling of Jason Litzau. Guerrero's rep has taken a hit in this one but he has proven to be a gamer in the past. Hopefully, he rematches the Indonesian and doesn't leave him hanging in obscurity.

Well said Kamden. I don't see a rematch, as that guy was probably more than he bargained for. But should he agree to meet Yordan again, and win, he will have gain much kudos. Anyway, we see Yordan is for real.
