Only thing I feel certain about is that Judah is SHOT! Any boxer capable of mounting a serious challenge will most likely be the victor. Not sure right now if Paris is such a commodity. Judah may still have one or more efforts left in him. Paris does not have the experience Judah has, not even close. I actually like Zab in this one; I can't even believe I said that! But I mean it even so.

Big question is which Judah shows up and whats left in the tank. I figure if ole Zabby wants a big payday down the road he needs to shine here. I don't think he beats Khan or Peterson, but he can get some nice coin just for showing up. So if the networks are going to drink the Judah koolaid, then he has to make it nice and sweet. Unless I read something outrageous regarding Judah's condition/preparation, I will go with the creator of the "chicken dance", Zab.

I like Judah too.

I've never really been impressed with Paris except for the Coleman fight. The way I see it is...Judah has the advantage in speed, power, and experience. Not to mention the fight is in Brooklyn with his promoter (Kathy Duva) promoting the card. Even with all that...I don't trust Judah enough to bet big on him  You just never know which Zab will show up.

I might parlay Rees/Kirkland.

just read off ringtv that judah trained by his uncle for this fight

pernell not there

GOOD! As outstanding as sweet pea was as a boxer, it is true he is a former(maybe active) controlled substance abuser. Actually, with all his ring experience, Judah can win or lose on his on merits.

Lots of fights today and tomorrow, I'm certain I can handpick many losers. lol

First thought is wow Tyrone Brunson is back appearing on FNF. I swear I thought we'd never see this guy again, De La Rosa is pretty good (despite being dropped 3 times against Conyers, one of which really hurt him) and its tough to imagine Brunson actually winning. His acclaimed power is really average and last time I saw he didn't exactly have enough in his toolbox to outpoint an active, solid fighter who moves well.

Will check back a little later with a bevy of sure fire disappointments!

I like the dogs Judah and Jennings. think they will win. De La Rosa should beat Brunson, who is just terrible. At the odds, I'm putting a few bucks on Nagy.

Read Brunson was getting up in De La Rosa's grill and talking trash at the weigh in. LOL...or maybe he will surprise us all?

Took De La Rosa -260 and 5d just posted a total which I took the under around +250. I do think the fight has a better chance of going the distance but not at that price. Value bet plus a hedge of sorts on De La Rosa bet. Unless he gets knocked down multiple times like last fight can't see how he loses if this goes the 8 rounds.

Other FNF encounter I think Smith may be a live dog. I remember that tough close tussle he had with Cintron recently and I just don't think Garcia deserves to be laying this type of price. However when you see he is the hometown fighter in Texas then I suppose it does make sense. Looking hard at the over 8.5 at -210 as well. Both guys seem durable enough and are in the prime of their careers, don't see either succumbing to the other barring cuts or a freak injury.

And took a wild shot with that Maccaranelli fight not lasting 4.5 rounds at +200. Good chance McPhilbin comes out early trying to catch Enzo, probably decent action in the first few rounds. Plus the what appears to be large class difference. Small bet for sure.

My plays so far:

My plays so far:

Anthony Mezaache +400 / Draw (mid)
Hometown fight for Mezaache, who can hopefully step up

James De La Rosa v Tyrone Brunson under 7.5 +250
Agree here with Habecki, the figth will propably go over but this looks like a good value line (small)

McPhilbin +1200 (mid)
McPhilbin, can punch and as his opponent dosnt have a good chin, he will maybe be able to win if he can survive the first few rounds

Juan Garcia +925 (very small / small)
Over 7,5 -180 (small)
I think Garcia has a chance not a good one, but by far better then the odds suggest. Ugas isnt a good puncher so over looks decent too.

Looking into quite a few additional figths :toast:

Cheers

Anybody know anything about Juan Garcia? Hard to tell if he's a legit prospect. Ugas looked ok against Almaraz in his last fight but thought he could've done a little more, maybe he wanted the rounds. But after what happened to Despaigne recently I don't trust all these Cubans at the pro level. Ugas also supposed to be chinny, not really been tested thus far...

Flyer on Garcia at +800, maybe put down some more if I can get a better understanding of what Garcia can offer.

I am on him +925 and the over -180 for a small amount too! I think Garcia has a chance not a good one, but by far better then the odds suggest. Ugas isnt a good puncher so over looks decent too.

Tidbit on Vernon Paris

Tidbit on Vernon Paris

The Cruelest Sport's preview of Zab Judah vs. Vernon Paris makes a pretty bold statement of a rumor in that locals from around the way of Paris' neighborhood say he's a heavy smoker..
