I placed a small wager on Kermit 2night at -180. I think Bryant is a descent underdog play against Sykes at +250 for a small wager....

I agree, but I'll wait to see how high the Bryant inside distance prop will be before I place my wager. Don't see him winning a decision here, very low work rate.

Well, I went with Estrada by decision. I think he has decent whiskers. He hung with Mosley for 12, not that Shane is a big puncher, but at 5-1, I'll take a swing at it. Funny that Castaneda-Weber fight. I also like Casta, but these guys keep fighting each other. Weber has fought some poor competition, but he loses, than draws, now we'll see. I did'nt play it, so best of luck to you.

Frankie

The first two fights were in Weber's backyard and he came out with a draw and a loss. Weber hasn't fought outside Ohio, now he leaves to fight Cast in his backyard.

I think Estrada by decision at +500 is a good play, but only if you already have Cintron at -170.

Nice job box. It sure got ugly at the end. I still think Margarito will beat Kermit again. Flip, we are too cheap to get PPV. We try to go over someone's house and watch it on the arm.

"the bunker"
helluva fight...was waiting to see if kermie`s meltdown vs margarito was an aberration...

judging by the heat that esrrada brought,i think cintron held together pretty well...he`s a nice fighter to watch...he looked damn good...although i think that the pressure that estrada brought gave him his beast shot at winning the fight...

i think cintron regained some lost confidence.....the cut didn`t blow his focus this time...

have him in some klit/kyowa/mabuza/povetkin parlays...

kyowa blows,it`ll hurt...

Frank,

Thinking about going to T&M to watch Castillo/Corrales fight...Where do you recommend sitting for this one? Interested in going together? We can see if Fletch wants to come too.

I was thinking that Sykes really isn't Meldrick Taylor either when it comes to letting his hands go as well. He hasn't done a whole hell of a lot since losing to Peter.

Also, woo hoo for Kermit. Nice way to start off the week...... :toast:

WEIGHTS?

WEIGHTS?

Anyone know what the weigh-ins where for the Sykes vs Bryant tonite?

I am curious if these guys are in shape? Sykes to me has always looked physically soft in his televised bouts.

Bryant looked good but should of finished Clay-Bey, who wanted to retire. He can punch, but he always seems to fade late in fights even when he paces himself which is rare.

I was at the Peter V. Sykes in Reno and Sykes doesn't handle pressure very well. He froze like a deer in the headlights and wouldn't even attempt to get up when it appered he could. Sykes wanted to box and Peter, who is as strong as an Ox, would have none of that. Peter is way more intimidating than Bryant though.

Good Luck Boxlocks!

I didn't see any weights for that fight either, maybe they'll mention it while the fight is still on the board

Hopefully they will post the weights because I think this one is a lot closer than the line would indicate. But if Bryant is not at a decent weight I'll leave it alone.

Thanks for checking Boxlocks, I really enjoy and respect your thread. And I agree with you on the big play Castaneda Jr over Weber since I live in Sacramento and have seen Castaneda fight here before. Castaneda has been looking better and better since losing to Oscar Diaz in 2003.

Glad you agree with Castaneda

I think Bryant will be in decent shape, he's been pretty consistent with his weight recently. I'm not saying he won't fade late, he probably will, just saying that he probably won't be over weight.

Bryant definitly has enough power to hurt Sykes, and he's a long southpaw so he'll be able to land on the shorter Sykes.

gl and thanks for the kind words...don't be a stranger
