5dimes just opened the props, I took Candelo by 10 round decision +660 as a small personal play.

I think Candelo can use his 3" height and reach advantages to outpoint the aging Phillips from the outside. Can't see either guy getting stopped here, both have great chins, JC never had much power, Verno has a little pop but not much at this point in his career.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I like the Echols under 9.5 for a few reasons, besides the generous +158.

We all know Echols has enough power to stop most middles and light-middles, Said was stopped in the first round early in his career. Since then Said has fought very light punchers at 154 and 160, hasn't had that chin checked in a long time. It will get tested tonight big time as Said is not a runner or a slick defensive fighter. He stands right in front of his opponent usually coming forward, which is surprising when you consider that he doesn't have much power. Not enough power to keep Echols off him, thats for sure.

Since Echols is 3" taller and longer, and Said doesn't move in the ring, I think Antwon will be dropping bombs all night long.

Nice price at +158

Echols finally hurt Said in the 10th round but didn't have time to seal the deal. Oh well, it was definitly worth a small shot at the price. These guys were throwing bombs the whole fight.

Box..a little financial advice needed. I have Mayweather on the 3rd leg of a 3 teamer in which i have already cashed the 1st two (Pistons last night/Red Sox tonight) its 500 to win 730. I see you're on the under (and another boxing capper i respect) for the fight and frank s. played Judah i-t-d. I see Pinny has Judah i-t-d at +1022, you think hedge 50 bucks on Judah i-t-d or play Judah for 100 or 125 at +470 just to win? Or just let that bitch ride b/c I basically have Mayweather at +145?

To be safe, I would put a little on Judah straight up, that way you cash regardless.

Taking the ko prop could get you two losers b/c this is a lefty vs righty and a headbutt is always a possibilty. If Judah starts fast and gets a slight lead on the scorecards after 4 or 5 rounds and then the fight is stopped on a cut, you'd lose both. Plus there's always a chance that Judah could win a 12 round decision as he's a Don King fighter, that should be enough to scare you by itself.

The way I look at it, you set yourself up for a nice payday, don't let DK or a straight left hand get in the way of the cash you deserve.

I would put at least 130 on Judah at +470, that way you win 600 or 110

Putting 230 on Judah would get you 500 on a May win and 580 on Judah win

Phillips wins by 10 round UD...the over cashes

Candelo needed to stay outside and use his height and reach. Unfortunately he let his grudge against Phillips change his gameplan and fought Verno's fight most of the rounds.

A small profit on the night, when the first fight went over 9.5 I put a little more on the Candelo over...worked out well.

beginning the 7th,candelo was through...actually,he`s through...slow....can`t fight inside with the pace that he used to....

looked to me like phillips tired badly late vs ouma and quartey...of course, they were legit contenders.

was worth a small shot at almost 3.5 to 1....

on to the weekend....

If the fight is a draw and you have a fighter to win..you get refunded/no action on your wager correct?...also do you see money going towards mayweather or judah in this?? basically should i hedge now at +470 or do you think that number will creep up to the +500 or so range?

Judah is +485 right now at 5dimes, scroll down to the bottom of the boxing page for the reduced juice line.

I don't expect the line to get any higher than +500, it will get bet down every time it gets that high.

Unless you are using a 3-way Euro book, a draw will be considered a push.

box, where did you play diaz by decision? 5dimes and pinny don't have that line currently. hopefully 5 dimes can put it up.

alvarez WAS absolutelygood enough to beat arce.....but,he`ll be 36 soon...

anybody that fights ricardo lopez tooth and nail twice,is no chump....

and he`s always had trouble making weight...i`d guess this is a good weight for him....

a few years ago,i`d be on him at 3-1....

the age may be a bit much, here though....

an interesting fight with campbell and hlatshwayo......in nate`s backyard....

hlat`s had some nice wins...baloyi,n`dou....he`s supposedly a legit welter....not a banger...

but, curiously enough,he was almost stopped in his last fight by light punching aldo rios....

nate is like "sybil"....you just don`t know what you`re getting from fight to fight...

Nate is great sometimes. We hope he is in great shape as he said he has learned his lesson ? of course we've always heard crap like this.

Hlatshwayo is a good boxer, counter puncher. Philip Ndou of course had no defense. Hlatshwayo was able to beat him to the punch and use movement. Ndou also suffered head trauma after this fight, so he could have been suffering that, thus making him no very effective. Rios is a decent puncher at lightweight I think, haven't seen his fight with Hlatshwayo. I have to go with Campbell to pressure and score a late kayo. He has no reason to be afraid of Isaac's punching power. I like Campbell to win and will put some money on him.

Remember the beat down Mayweather gave DeMarcus Corley ?

no way Zab would be able to take that punishment. The Zab who fought Cory Spinks a 2nd time didn't have to keep up a heavy power punching pace because he was able to take his time. Floyd will make him work and it will render him powerless later in the fight.

I see Mayweather by 7th round to 10th round kayo.

maybe Mayweather goes down early trading with Judah, even though Floyd is faster, but no way he get's stopped by this bumb. Floyd punches hard, ask Sharmba and Arturo.

Sam/Arias under 10.5 +165

just going by Arias kayo loss to JC Gomez which I saw. how come a Samil Sam right hand backed up by his 40 pounds of blubber will not be able to fold Arias up ?

I would like to see Sam at 240 instead of 245, but I think some value here. Arias seemed washed up vs Gomez. nothing special.

worth a risk I think

Sam is a big favorite at -1100, so they think Arias has no shot to win, so why not a kayo win ?

i don`t know,spead...rios has 9 k.o.`s in 41 wins...at any weight,that doesn`t impress...i always considered rios crafty and durable...not a big puncher...certainly not in campbell`s league....

i also read that the scoring in the rios fight was wayyy off...that it was very close...

you wonder why a guy like hlat would travel to the usa...to fight in a dangerous guy like campbell`s backyard.......with a possible title fight looming...i know it`s an eliminator......but still...

they think campbell is a joke?.....he`s flaky....he`s had a few bad breaks....but he hit`s hard.....and has some quicks...and he`s been in with some very tough guys...

if he`s on his game,he will be tough in florida...

i see that he`s actually getting odds.....maybe i`ll join you....

although,i`m still chafed about the peden chin shenanigans...
