"the bunker"
""""that sanchez /bojourqez line looks insane to me...sanchez should have beaten verno phillips....

and every time i see him, bojourqez is looking more and more like damaged goods...and lord,he`s god-awful slow....

sanchez has been fighting very well....

maybe bojourqez can hurt him and get him out...but,i like the way sanchez has been fighting....

wrong guy favored here?.....could be....getting better than 1.5 for 1?...i like it...wish i`d seen it earlier...

.............................................................

and i hope to hell that calzaghe is a little irked at that fantastic kessler performance last week....

`cause he`s got the perfect foil in front of him next week....a relatively light punching, smallish, straight forward plugger that`s fighting way out of his comfort zone in wales...

i think other than the contender(which was vs mostly much smaller guys),manfredo has fought outside new england once....

he`s been talking smack...and i hope that calzaghe realizes that it would behoove him to whack this con(pre)tender in front of an american audience....

manfredo called calzaghe a (slapper) and he`s full of himself after k.o.ing two bums as a super middleweight(pemberton and spina...both dogs).....

we have height,reach,speed,power,...venue.....the lefty/righty advantage......

he has a guy that`s easy to hit in front of him....a guy that`s used to fighting almost exclusively at home.....

you have his nemesis coming off a huge int` national t.v. win....
this should be a blow out...if calzaghe wants it....he may just dance his way to a win...if he does, shame on him....

he doesn`t have to k.o. manfredo...he can just batter him into submission....the talent/class gap here is enormous....

what more can you ask...i wish the under were 9.5 instead of 7.5......

so,i parlayed under 7.5 with mayweather by 12 rd decision.....and got better than 4-1 odds....

if calzaghe gets it done(and it`s not calzaghe`s style to go for broke early),we have a nice hedge to play with in the dlh fight....

a nice longshot wager....

theres a calzaghe inside the distance at -280(-225 now).........i wouldn`t lay a flat-280.....but,this could be used in another parlay.....i will be shocked if calzaghe allows a ham n`egger like manfredo to go 12...

if calzaghe doesn`t toy with manfredo(who deserves a title shot about as much as larry holmes does),he`d better not get in with kessler....

i can`t imagine calzaghe not showing off here in his hometown....his last fight vs bika was uninspiring....

how is manfredo a top 10 super middle after wins over spina and pemberton?....

but,you never know...he may go through the motions"""""...
__________________

i posted this awhile back...this may be(hands notwithstanding) the safest 10-1 shot in history,imo....

this is an utter mismatch...try and imagine joe calzaghe fighting some of the riff raff from the contender...

it all depends on his motivation....and manfredo,(who won`t have freddy roach with him)has done quite a bit of talking....

look at this picture...

Calzaghe,%20Manfredo.jpg

calzaghe looks huge compared to manfredo...his fist is as big as manfredo`s head....joe`s a very big super mddle...manfredo`s a mid-sized middleweight...

every advantage calzaghe....i can`t think of one manfredo advantage..

i know manfredo`s chin is pretty good...but,i recall seeing him stunned on the contender...he hasn`t fought many big bangers...nothing like calzaghe..

fight ends inside the distance-300
calzaghe inside the distance-225....

????????...they saying that manfredo has a shot at stopping calzaghe?....

you could parlay joe inside the distance with khan under 5.5 and get better than even odds..

looking for the best companion with the joe inside the distance prop....

I did parlay Joe inside with Kahn UNDER 5.5. Pinny has Kahn at UNDER 4.5 -125. Yea, I think Manfredo is trying a psyche game. What a freakin joke. Calzaghe was totally in disdain of Jeff Lacy and beat the crap out of a damn gorilla like Lacy. Manfredo will be overwhelmed here. Also I noticed the price has come down on Pavlik a little. I bet him a little more. Like box said, 5Dimes plays games with the lines to test the waters.

Olympic...9.5 rounds...-150 Under / +125 Over

The Under looks very tempting, 7.5 should be enough but 9.5 gives you a little more wiggle room. Manfredo was definitly hurt by Mora who is not a big puncher at 160.

Still thinking on this one

I like that Clottey play...I gotta feel Corrales will test his power against a legit welterweight and findout that it is not as devastating like it is against the smaller guys..But for Corrales to test his power means that he will be there to be found, and I think Clott will hit him much harder than he has been hit before.

thanks for the oly heads up...that 7.5 is a bit low to engender any confidence......i have some change left in an account over there....might as well put a case of beer on under 9.5....

i will be surprised if he can`t stop manfredo....

Maccarinelli stopped Gunn in the 1st round...I loaded up on the Under thinking I could always scalp some off later if I wanted, then they pulled it off the board forcing me to let it all ride

The parlays are alive

Huge week

calzaghe tko in the 3rd......an insanely bad stoppage.....i don`t think that manfredo was hurt at all....but,it was in wales.......you can`t stand there with your dick in your gloves....

no offense to new englanders, but theres a pattern of new england fighters being very protected and building misleading resumes....pemberton....gary balletto....several more...

mismatch....as soon as calzaghe hit the gas,it was gonna be a beatdown....

it was only a question of how long.....

i gtta say....that was one horrendous stoppage....

whatever.....we still get paid though,don`t we guys?......:yup

Having a great week so far, and set up two nice parlays for down the road...

Took Clottey inside distance +185 earlier this week

The other side is now -178 so I'm buying back half of my bet

Final play...Clottey inside distance...Lay .10 to win .20

the mouthpiece got ya`.......the guy`s got the mouthpiece thing down to a science....

that`s why i blew my cool in castillo 1.......it`s no accident...

he gets stopped if the mouthpiece isn`t used as a tactic......

that bugs me....it taints the guy,imo

The problem is the penalty does not fit the crime...As long as the penalty remains the same, every boxer (if they were clever) should be doing it if they want to buy more time.

i agree,bud.......

flipper...don`t get me wrong...corrales has tremendous heart....i admire him...

just not sure that particular tactic shouldn`t have d.q. attached to it on the second, obviously purposeful occurrence...

it looked pretty obvious(at least to me) that corrales` power didn`t travel up to welter with him...his punches had very little snap.....i would surmise that because it was at welterweight, the glove size didn`t change.......i don`t know...

maybe he`s just to willowy at the heavier weight.....to fight athletes like clottey...

rather than stay at welter and take beatings,he should retire...

yeah he needs the loot, so he will have to continue to fight unless he gets a better gig...i think he should fight softer opponents as his name is great for attendence at smaller venues...yeah he got his jaw broke earlier in the fight but still hung in there one way or another...

i agree with you all the way...not sure about the dq though, but i agree it was intentional.
