1. I put a lot of money on Mabuza.
2. put some on Wright by decision, following boxlox
3. some on the over as well on the clark/singwangcha fight
4. put some on Randy Griffin, he fought Yusef Mack well at 168 and should beat Said.
5. some on Judah by decision over Rivera.
6. a little on Klose to win by decision over Urkal +350

good luck boxlox

I made a sh*tload off Mabuza against Wilders, I got him at -300 and within 24 hours the line was -600. It was easy money as Wilders was coming off a 5th round ko to a very light punching David Guerault, he had no chance against the aggressive, hard hitting Mabuza. I posted a write-up on that fight if you want to look it up.

Mabuza is very good and a strong puncher. Ring magazine called him the most underrated fighter in the division last year.

However
Mabuza's competition has been very weak and he's never fought anyone like Carvajal. Lacierva looked very good against Carv for the first few rounds but he couldn't handle Cruz' power and persistence and was stopped in the 6th. It wouldn't surprise me if Mabuza and his agression win the first few rounds, but Carv can take a beating for 6 rounds and then give a beating for 6 rounds.

Mabuza better get Carv out of there early, he's not used to fighting an experienced fighter like Cruz who is very strong and gets stronger as the fight goes along.

I think Mabuza will win the first few rounds but after that he will be up against something he may not be ready for. I hope he brought his A game.

Plays for me are Mabuza, Griffin and the Clark over. I liked the first two after my own analysis, and am doing a tail job on the over play. I am tempted to take Klose a little but will pass. Urkal says he is "hard to box". Oh, really! I wish Tony Montana posted here. I am thinking if Wright frustates Tito, Trinidad will go ape shit trying to whack Winky. He may get put to sleep(Tito). Interesting matchup.

Glad to see we agree on a few this weekend. I was leaning towards Griffen but didn't pull the trigger. I might play it small since you like him also.

Btw, I hope there are no hard feelings from the other forum

Thank you box for the Flores under. I did'nt really have a clue regarding this fight. Clark over is next;
looking for a W there! I honestly am going back and forth with this Tito-Wink fight. King is involved and I have my suspicions. I'm smelling fish in this one me thinks. Maybe I won't bet at all. I do feel at least Wink by decision is the most value. The reason I stayed away from Carbajal is his spotty record. Man is he inconsistent.

No problem frank

You guys helped me out last night also. A very good boxing guy I know was leaning Mabuza, after seeing you and Spread on him also, I decided to take Mabuza by 12 round decision at +337 as a hedge to my Carvajal +100 play. It worked out well. Thanks for posting your plays, you too Spread.

I wish the Griffen fight was still on, I was leaning Griffen and noticed you and Spread liked him also, we had a concensus going and I liked our chances, oh well.

frankie
I hear you on Tito-Winky, to be honest I already parlayed Trinidad with Bell next weekend at even money. The way I look at it, if Wright wins, it will be by decision. Tito can win either way, and if he does, the parlay will cover my Winky bet.

Like just about everyone else I have Wink by decision too...However, I won't be too optimistic if it goes to the scorecards since Tito is Don King's guy....Good luck to us all.

Just in from tony montana out in cyberspace. Tony likes Klose and Winky by decision. Sounds like parlay materiel. Also after watching the Trinidad-Mayorga replay last nite. I like Wink by decision a tad more. How about an omen; Don King lost a muti-million dollar lawsuit to Pelullo over a John Ruiz issue. KIng is pissed big time. Maybe his cash cow Tito doesn't cash either. So I'm tapping Klose for a little jingle, along with Winky by decision and the parlay of the aforementioned.

Urkal said in an interview that Klose will be a tough fight. i'm just riding the fact that Urkal is getting older. no hard feelings boxlox.

did the mabuza fight get played in full. i didn't get to watch anything last fight. i had only seen mabuza vs wilders and was pretty sure he could handle Carvajal, after seeing Carjaval get beat fairly easy by Sor Vorapin last summer. Carjaval is good a fighter in the division, just can't beat the top guys.

good luck on tonight's plays

Unfortunatly they only showed rounds 1 , 2 , & 8 through 12

It was a pretty good fight, Mabuza deserved to win but Carvajal nailed him with big shots in every round they showed. I wasn't sure if Mabuza could take that kind of punishment. I knew Carv could take a beating. Mabuza is a complete fighter with good hand and foot speed and decent power, more importantly he throws his punches very straight and sharp. And after this fight, its obvious he has a rock solid chin. I'd love to see him fight R. Marquez.

"the bunker"
from what i saw of it,carbajal did some damage...around mabuza`s eyes...both went to the body pretty well....
mabuza looked naturally a little bigger to me...

mabuza`s corner told him after the 9th,to move, box and throw combo`s....

he did just that and swept the last 3,imo...

he`s talented and fairly resilient...his stamina was excellent....technically solid....if they were in the same weight class...and they almost are, montiel and mabuza would be a beautiful fight to watch....technically...

he did what he had to do from the 10th on to cement the win....

nice fight...

like to see a round robin at some catch weight between marquez/mabuza and montiel...

btw....valuev whacked etienne in 3.....and i got conflicting reports on klose/urkal...not sure if it was a unanimous or split decision for urkal.....

and,,,i`m sooooo glad danny romero squirreled away the draw vs baba....bab`s pedetrian....but romero is,and always has been wayyy overrated...

i looked at this hard and just didn`t have any confidence in baba....but,romero is a definite go against vs any live bodies....he and tapia had a kind of b.s. ponzi game going and fooled the public completely...

neither guy has really beaten a really good fighter..certainly no signature wins between them...

Made some decent cash this afternoon on the Klose-Urkal fight. Urkal couldn't punch at 140 and he was stepping up in weight, he's got a great chin and Klose can't punch a lick. Easy money.

As posted in my 5/7 thread, I played the Valuev-Etienne under 7.5 at -150 when it opened at 5dimes, the line went crazy and I was thinking about scalping so I didn't post anything, my bad. I wouldn't have recommended playing it at more than -180 anyway.

Romero could punch, but this was 10 years ago at 112 lbs.

he should retire. a draw with baba is pathetic. the guy has nothing left.

tapia was a little overrated. Those guys all ducked mark johnson back then. Romero was a good fighter. He blasted out Grey at 115 lbs, but like I said, 8 years ago at least.
