The mega fight is finally upon us and while all the early money was on Manny the Floyd backers have made it very clear that anything under -200 is a steal. Five years ago I would've picked Manny to win for the same reasons that Floyd wanted no part of him back then. Now I think Floyd will probably win for the same reasons that he is now willing to fight Manny. But I'm not confident enough to lay the current price on Floyd (especially when there's a much easier outcome to predict in next weeks fight). Most reasonable boxing brains see this fight going the distance, and I agree that it probably will. The way Floyd wraps his hands these days he basically has pillows on them before he even puts his gloves on. However, I can't get the image of Manny laying face down on the canvass out of my head. Floyd will be landing plenty of right hand counters just like the one Marquez knocked Manny out with. I still think the fight will go the distance but sweating out a -300 wager for 12 rounds would take all the enjoyment out of watching it. Again, I'll save my money for next week. Anyway, at current prices there's only one play I see value in, but the value is substantial...
