Totals

Totals

I made a few adjustments in my totals...

For some reason I had Mayweather Split Decision +900 graded under the dogs, it should've been under lottery tickets...and now it is

I decided not to have a Scalp/Hedge section, when I play the other side of a fight, the amount lost should come out of the original play posted...and now it does

Thanx. Regarding Alvarez-Cruz, I can see Cruz winning here. What I'm missing I don't know. Just don't get the line. If Cruz was the chalk, that would not have surprised me.

Kirkland says he's about 85% mentally and 75% physically going into this fight. He doesn't watch video of his opponents, and Duran is a very good fighter who has beat several solid southpaws convinsingly. Duran is fired up and has a gameplan, he has seen tape of the flawed, hitable, unproven prospect. Duran also has a solid chin to deal with Kirklands power

Works for me

Kirkland couldn't make weight, missed by over a pound, and was fined by the commision. Kirkland admitted to not getting enough nutrients or sparring for this fight

Box,
what does that mean in the bigger scheme of things, wrt the outcome of this fight. The nutrition/sparring issue is obvious, but I am curious if just simply not making weight has any effect. Thanks

Not really, with younger fighters who are still growing naturally, sometimes they grow out of a weight class between fights. Its not that they aren't training or staying disciplined, they just can't make the weight anymore. Morales and Castillo are as professional as you can get, but both couldn't make weight recently due to outgrowing their weight class.

However, thats not always the case, most of the time when a fighter doesn't make weight, there's a problem. As posted, Kirkland didn't have the best training camp, when a fighter comes in overweight after making comments about not being 100% in the mind or the body, there's a good chance he's distracted mentally and not prepared physically.
