Do you think that Marquez is being underestimated for this saturday's fight against the pacman?

siaca

siaca

got the split decision...i had the over myself based on the siaca`s being a natural light heavy....hoping the coming down in weight wouldn`t weaken him to much......

also took the small shot with popaoin when he moved to being the dog..the -210 was a little steep for me.....a draw....

still, excellent job....good start to the weekend...

congrats gw

congrats gw

Great minds think alike, I told an associate of mine that Siaca dropping 8 pounds is the only thing I didn't like about the over. But since most of his fights were at supermiddle and he just recently moved up to lightheavy, I wasn't too worried.

I thought Siaca was a live dog due to his performances against Byron Mitchell (twice) and Bruno Girard. But with the fight being in Mundine's outbackyard, I decided to leave it alone.

I was very surprised to see 10.5 -220 on the Porpaoin over, I would have taken it at 11.5 -300. These guys weigh 105 pounds, neither has power, neither has been stopped, and they easily went the distance when they fought each other 4 months ago. The righty vs. lefty headbutt factor was the only reason I didn't make this a 2 unit play.

"the bunker"
carbajal and vorapin

carbajal and vorapin

went the distance....and carbajal got upset.....

he turned his career around but he wasn`t good enough to take his title on the road consistently....

i`m surprised he went to thailand to defend....

i`ve read writers chastisiing fighters for not taking the toughest fights when they get the title(g. leon on antonio rivera.....wanted him to fight an over the weight mayorga with nothing on the line...then expected him to jump into the ring with zab judah)......

leon went way down in my opinion...that`s just plain stupid logic....

guys like rivera don`t get titles everyday...even crap titles....just because guys with a pen like leon want rivera to be dumb and step in over his head in his first defense is beyond stupid...

maybe he wants to hold the belt...milk it a little...there`s time for the big money fights....

the guy`s not a great fighter.....he`s a plugger...

lord, look at guys like eric morel and johnny tapia...these guys fought NOBODY ......made careers out of beating garbage.....

and when they stepped up,predictably, they lost....

and ricky hatton.....when`s frank warren gonna let him fight a top 10 guy....they want no part of sharmba mitchell....even in england...

it`s o.k. for the media darlings....not o.k. for the pluggers like rivera....

b.s...

Landaeta was the "one of these guys" that kissed the canvas in their first fight but it was in the 12th ROUND and since Chana doesn't have much power I assume it was a flash knockdown combined with exhaustion. The fact that neither fighter went down in the rematch supports this theory. The decision of this fight was contraversial, much like their first fight, so hopefully they will do it one more time$
