Did'nt bet the UNDER+135 when I first saw it. Now it's UNDER 9.5-175!!. Latimore is a creampuff. I missed the boat here. Maybe 5D's will post some props. At any rate, Latimore should get deconstructed. Think I'll parlay Valero-Powell UNDER both.

I personally watched him whip Devon Alexander a few years back on the amateur circuit.
Not exactly a creampuff IMO. He may surprise you guys tonight...

Other than beating Richardson, who was fighting 4-6 rounders, his last 6 PRO wins were versus tomatoe cans. Now he is stepping WAY up in class. He loses tonite.

I'm laying off the Wed night card. I'm tempted to take the under on quillan but 4 1/2 is cutting it a bit short. I think Quillan makes easy wrk of the guy but not worth the risk.

"The Man" is on Latimer for a small %. I haven't seen the guy but Graham seems to think Latimer is capable. Kenny Adams is a respectable trainer. I'm laying off but I'd consider the over for + odds 7 1/2 if I were betting.

I did place a few wagers on the under for Hasegawa. He can't crack an egg but i think he can crack his overmatched opponent inside 11 1/2. Odds were -120 on avg and I have a decnt amt on it. Good luck.

The "man" is on Latimore at +600, he's a +700 dog at bodog....from what I have seen of him, he looks very unpredictable, fairly good boxer, but could certainly fall apart if he gets hit by Powell, fighwriter also covered this fight extensively, Latimore's loss to Gardner came at a time, when he didnt have a trainer...he's now training with Garnder and sb. else whose name just slipped me...both believe he has a shot...small play...

I do expect Powell to win a Decision however I dont think it will be a walk in the park for him and think Latimore can win this.
Most people have never seen or heard of Latimore and simply go by what they read on boxrec (people who might think he is a "creampuff"). That logic will get you into ALOT of trouble when gambling.
I've seen him fight live numerous times. He beat 04 Olympic Alternate and Light Welterweight contender Alexander handly in the amateurs and went on to the Semi-Finals of the National Golden Gloves and lost a close decision to the winner who beat Andrade in the finals.
I'm not a fan of his but I do recognize talent. He hasn't fought the stiffest competition as a pro but the skillset is certainly there. There is value in the over IMO but I personally wouldn't lay too much on him to win.

Another angle may be Powell looking ahead, cuz he is the mandatory for newly crowned Verno Phillips IBF title.
or
You gotta say he has guts for taking on such a dangerous opponent before he gets his title shot.

He'll be kicking himself if he loses tonight

One of those "people" would be me! We'll see soon enough. I agree the over 7.5 may be worth a shot. That will be close. Powell said he wants to make an "example" of Latimore, for whatever reason.

Unbeaten middleweight Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (19?0, 14 KOs) survived some scary moments to win a unanimous ten round decision against hard-puncher Dionisio Miranda (18-2-2, 17 KOs). Quillen was in control of the fight until round seven when he was badly hurt but he refused to go to the canvas. Miranda was unable to capitalize and Quillen went the final three rounds without incident. Scores were 97-93, 97-92, 97-92

So shoot me! At least the under won, by way of back door cover. Kudos to the hurricane!

Congrats guys, I got in a small bet in b/c of Evan.

ESPN is a curse for young prospects against journeyman, Oliver, Lee, Williams, among others have been upset this year.

I vowed after the Forrest fight to bet against all Buddy McGirt fighters when reasonable, today was the first opportunity. That guy is dreadful, how in the world does he keep attracting clients?

btw my prediction on the Forrest fight was way off, Forrest seemed to age in the corner between rounds 3 and 4. When I saw him walking to the ring I got very nervous, in his best performances he is smiling and dancing to the music, his ring walk vs Mora looked like a bad Undertaker imitation. Sorry if anyone followed me, though after watching him vs Baldomir and Piricillo, and even after 3 rounds vs Mora, it looked like he was on his way to an easy KO. I give Mora credit, but I think that fight told us more about Forrest at this point than it did Mora.

That's really crazy, I thought Latimore was vlaue, but certainly didnt expect that to hit... :)

BTW, Evan posts nice winners, but his strategy is very good too...
I used to load up on low odds, now I'm not risking as much unitwise per game, but gambling more on underdogs...

I didn't have time to go into detail on that one but hope some of you got on board. According to Faccios record it appears as though the guy falls down when the wind blows. The light hitting Hasegawa got him out in the 2nd rd:00hour

Huge Congrats to the Latimer backers! That was a sweet payoff for +700. Just wish I had taken some of that.
