I didn't see anything worth while last weekend, but this upcoming weekend looks to have a lot better action. Until some lines come out, check it out if you can. Feedback always welcomed.

We recap this past weekend and discuss this upcoming weekend fights. We discuss the Spence/Porter fight, since that will be officially announced soon. We also go into the rest of the welterweight division, as well as discuss our dislike of the Charlo's.

A lot of wide odds this week. Trying to find value, maybe props and round bets are the way to go this week. I'll see if I come up with anything worth while.

With not much next week and not betting this past weekend, I feel the need to float out a few tonight!

Patrick Day by Decision (+900)- Adames is favored clearly as he should be. He's the undefeated prospect and has shown better as a pro. He probably wins this fight, by late stoppage or decision. Anything else would be pretty impressive and might sneak him into my top 10 for the 154 division. Day was a good amateur fighter, but hasn't totally translated it as a pro. I think if Day has a great night and Adames is off his game, the upset is possible. Day has experience going the distance in competitive fights. The odds are too wide to be honest. You can win $90 for every $10 you put on Day. To me, that is worth a play for FUN, something to cheer for. You could get back a nice return with basically little to lose.

Commey/Beltran over 5.5 (-205)- Beltran, to me, knows a win is more important than a title at this stage of his dwindling career. I don't think he had any desire to make weight for this fight. He's going to use his extra bulk to deal with Commey's power advantage. Beltran has been stopped twice, but earlier in his career. He's coming into this one to give it his all because he knows a loss will be just about the end for him. I like Commey, but who has he stopped? Even this older version of Beltran is a B- level guy or so. I think Commey wins, possible by late stoppage or clear decision, but I think Beltran can get to the middle of the 6th round, at least. I think of this as a SMALL play. If Beltran was a few years younger, this would be an easy medium play for me.

Betting record so far:

Solid- 1-0
Medium- 4-0
Small- 0-0
Odds based- 2-2
For fun- 0-0

Another one to look at for fun would be Commey to win in rounds 10-12 at +1200. I expect Beltran to go some rounds, and perhaps the age shows late? Very possible, but for $10 for a chance to win $120, or $20 for $240 why not?!?

Trying to find some value with a little to have a nice return. A lot of interesting fights this weekend, but a lot of the odds are pretty wide. Waiting on Prop/round betting for tomorrow.
