How about I get Rijker-150 and Martin+325? Scalp city right! I have to see a zoologist to find out how many snakes bit me. I just know it's a communist plot!

these cancellations are killing me....

i heard they`d only sold 500 tickets for this one....

it`s very possible that the promoter pulled a "tonya harding" on rijker....

anybody touch the over in the soliman/zuniga fight?....soliman can`t punch and zuniga was never knocked down.....

the heat was a tad scary,though...

i`m reading alot of talk from a local guy named maxell taylor...he`s fighting ahmed kaddour tonight on showtime...he`s a lefty...he`s fairly tall...kaddour usually has a large height advantage...he`s only 2 " taller than taylor...

he`s been training for the last 8 months in new jersey with tommy brooks and lou duva....and within that timeframe he`s got 2 stoppages....he claims that brooks has taught him to set down on his punches...

kaddour didn`t impress me all that much...he seemed to fade in his contender fights..

kaddour hasn`t fought since losing back to back at "the contender"....albeit to really good fighters ishe smith and gomez...10 months...

i worry that the network would like to see kaddour...who has some name recognition now with some boxing fans due to the show...move on....

and i haven`t seen taylor fight....he`s only 20....no great competion on his resume...

but he`s won 9 straight....sight unseen on taylor...maybe he`s a dog...but,at 20,he has stoppages in his last 2 bouts...maybe he`s growing into his power a little...

+250?......wtf...doesn`t cost much to play a little...
a small shot in the dark for some fun...

I saw Taylor's fight in Maryland on Ballroom Boxing. He looked good. I didn't watch the contender, so I can't speak on those fights.

I like the over of the Simonyan/Sanchez fight, anyone else? I put a medium bet on the over for that. I layed a small bet on Burton amd took a parlay of Taylor and Ruiz, $5.00 for $70.00. I figure they both have a shot and it's only $5.00, what the hell........

Posted this at another forum...

Burton was stopped by Contreras, Diaz, Elder, and should've been stopped by Augustus. That makes 4 of his last 8 fights that he's been hurt in.

Reyes is 3" taller and can punch as hard or harder than any of the 4 guys that have hurt Burton recently. Reyes stopped John Brown in the 1st round, something Cotto and Corrales couldn't do in 10 or 12 rounds!

I think Burton and his glass jaw could be in trouble against a bigger guy who has a bigger punch than he's used to.

I'm looking at the Kaddour-Talyor over 7.5 at -166, also looking at the southpaw Taylor at +270. Kaddour struggles against lefties even more than he struggles against righties, and he was schooled in his last 2 fights on the contender.

------------------------------------------------------------------

gw

I played the Soliman-Zuniga over 9.5 at -175 and parlayed it with the Kaddour-Taylor over 7.5 -170...(+150)

I should've posted the Soliman over but I wasn't real confident, small plays.

Like Spread, I didn't follow the contender, now I wish I did. I'm gonna go rent the series right now and watch Kaddour's fights. As posted above, I'm leaning Taylor and the over. Already placed small wagers on both, but depending on what I see in the video, might go larger on one or the other.

I said that Kaddour struggles against lefties b/c he won a close majority decision over southpaw Wilmer Mejia 2 years ago. Meija is now 13-4-2.

Back later

That Taylor/Kaddour over looks pretty good since you brought it to my attention. I'm still going to stick with Burton, not putting alot on him anyhows.....

just love the give and take in this thread...this is what it`s all about,imo....

box....nice of you to let everyone weigh in in your thread....

makes it easier to follow commentary and opinion....

lots of solid stuff...

we have to bear in mind that taylor is a 3-1 dog....hopefully some of that was due to kaddour`s t.v. exposure....hopefully,taylor is at least decent and gives us our money`s worth....

i expect kaddour to open fast...he`s cocky, mouthy and, imo, not nearly as talented as he thinks he is...

f course,i doubt that taylor is in manuel gomez or ishe smith`s league at this point...

still,i`m a sucker for a longshot...a lefty at that..

btw...jair jimenez loses twice in a row to gerson guerrero and gets a title shot with darchinyan?....very odd....moving down to his natural weight,though...

irish john duddy`s fighting on the espn card.....vs old vet pat coleman...duddy looked very good the time i saw him....

i have to side with box on reyes in california(little home cooking?)....burton`s been in some very tough bouts recently...he`s taken some punishment...hopefully it catches up to him...

espn....telemundo....showtime....lots of action tonight...

where`s the santos/guerrero line?.....

I can see why armageto played Burtan at + money, he fought well against Elder and almost stopped him before getting clobbered himself. Reyes lost a close decision to Huerta recently.
There's a reason why I didn't play Reyes -140

Really like the big + money on a Reyes stoppage though, line has dropped to +190.
I noticed 5dimes was snooping around in here earlier, fockers!

Hey rook, do you prefer "army" or "geto"

Simonyan-Sanchez

The over seems risky at -200 or more. Sanchez has been stopped 3 times, but he has also gone the distance with some big punchers. The last time he was stopped was at 130 and he took a serious ass kicking. This fight is at 122 and Simonyan is not a huge puncher so I'm not too worried about Sanchez getting stopped. More worried about him getting cut or giving a cut, happens all the time in Sanchez fights. He's a very dirty fighter, could get dq'ed.

Simonyan was stopped by Vasquez in the 5th round of his last fight. Sanchez is not a big banger but he can punch a bit at 122. Simonyan and his chin were exposed, Sanchez will try to jump on him.

This fight could go the distance, the oddmakers seem to think so.

No play for me, hope you hit it

Doesn't really matter to me. Whatever you prefer. I seem to be the only one here that thinks Burton has a good shot, hopefully he won't let me down. Good luck to everyone tonight (Except you guys that picked Reyes!!)

taylor`s loss was in a 4 rounder...by 1 point on each card.....because he got knocked down in the 4th round...

not sure about the whiskers...

sanchez, imo, isn`t really a big puncher...if he whacks simonyan at this point in his career, simonyan really isn`t a contender...

i understand that burton`s no cupcake...it was -135,btw......his last 3 fights have been particularly brutal...and his last 8 have been vs fairly tough competition....

it`s a tough fight...burton`s people are sadists...
