I don't watch as much. A decade ago I'd watch just about anything. It didn't matter who it was, the channel, or time. I had Youtube or people out of country sending me dvds.

I don't take betting as serious anymore either. It made the fights un-fun to watch, even if I was winning. I don't work in the sport anymore either. I just do my podcast and follow the sport for fun these days.

Ha, I remember that guy! A few colorful characters are good posters seemed to have vanished over the years. Hell, I disappeared for almost a decade myself!

Not a lot of fights, or great odds this weekend. The Ramirez/Hooker seems like a toss up, I can find logic for both guys to win.

I would bet on Davis by KO/DQ in rounds 1-3 at around +170. A slight risj if Davis struggles with the weight and comes in sloathing, but he should kill Nunez. To play it even safer, the under at 4.5 (-40) seems really solid to me too. Nunez style is made for Tank to decapitate him. If this gets to the middle of the 5th, stop the fight because Davis already took an L.

Is it time to cut down the number of rounds?

8 rounds non title
10 round title fights

I don't think the few less rounds will matter a lot. Better trained refs and making sure ring side doctors have everything they need to help a fighter is a good start. Some states don't even have oxygen ringside. Maybe get rid of the 8 ounce gloves in the lower weights. Have a plan of insurance in place for cars where fighters and their families have less to worry about.
