I'm still waiting for 5dimes or bodog to release some lines...

Your play looks good!

Have you seen any fights of Alatorre?

don`t know a thing about alatorre...but i do know that hernandez can`t seem to make up his mind whether to retire or not....

and thats not a good thing if you`re a hernandez backer...

his style has always been that of a pressure fighter who throws lots and lots of punches(his fight with stevie forbes was a classic even though the scoring in that fight was atrocious)....

not so sure how that style holds up at 37 and a half after all those wars.....

the problem is that alatorre looks basically like fodder...with little power to keep hernandez honest...i wish hernandez wasn`t such a tough,no-quit type of fighter, cause guys in his situation have been known to say,"i don`t need this shit"if things start to get tough in there...

still,i can see going small at +400,but, kinda think hernandez toughs it out vs a weak opponent...

Thats pretty much my thinking.
Hernandez looks ripe for the taking, but I couldnt find a single win on Altorres record that looks even mildly decent....

But anyways, at +425 he's worth a shot!

Ola Afolabi is a pretty wide favorite...

Do you guys HAVE to bet here? I mean, I don't get the impression that a strong opinion is present, yet it seems like one or two of you are reaching. Just my 2 1/2 cents.

where`s "the man"?

"2 picks coming for this Friday!"

im expecting him to play sharpe over barker, not sure about the other, probably a round prop like under thompson/arvin or over in barker/sharpe. alatorre perhaps, but i dont see much value there, he's +375 now, what concerns me is his low punching power. juan ruiz was a rugged and pressure fighter to make mcollough bow out, i dont see that here. old fighters hate pressure and they hate volume. i took sharpe small at +550, don't know much about it outside fightwriter and that the line looked better than at all other sites.

Just call 1-800-compulsive:mj07:

we all have our vices frank. some of us drink, some of us smoke, some of us gamble. life can be summed up as banal and routine, its only sane to keep your mind off the indifferent and meaningless universe, this is how people fall to destructive hobbies, and how others attach themselves to drivel such as lawn maintenance or star wars collectibles, or devote themselves to causes they really dont care about or understand like global warming. does that really make us bad people?

well yes actually :mj07:

Well played, nj. At any rate, good luck on the wager. I mean that. Next month is when we really have work to do. Lots of matchups where the doggies might bark a little.

bro...i`m a tad reticent about giving my e mail out....it`s a long story and i have my reasons......

you`re a fine dude....funny and witty and a sharp capper...so,please don`t take it personally...it ain`t personal...

that said...i think you`re sharpe play probably makes a helluva lot more sense than alatorre....given that sharpe is on a bit of a run and has home court vs a guy that`s fighting away from home for the first time...

big odds...i guess theres a reason...still,sharpe has some advantages here....

looks like a decision fight,so,being at home sure can`t hurt.....

i`ll bite for a little...

thanks for bringing that to the board`s attention...i wouldn`t have given it a second glance....

The card is promoted by Barkers promoter though.

For the record The man is on the under for both the barker and the Thompson fight, 1 unit play each.

I ve had some success with the dogs this year, so I add some money on Altorre W10 +674 and the Draw +3000.

Hernandez has always relied on his physical attributes, I hope he cannot match his younger opponents pace....

Alatorre lost by contraversial split decision, one judge had it 97-93 for the +400 underdog

Hey frankie, you said one or two of us were reaching on this one. Just wondering who you thought was reaching b/c the rest of us were backing a very live dog at +400

i honestly threa 10 bucks on alatorre...but,i never dreamed that the fight would be scored that close...despite the swelling over hernandez` eye....

i didn`t watch the entire fight, but what i saw was mostly hernandez....

maybe i missed the alatorre moments:shrug:

can`t beat it at 4-1,though...i agree..

i hope nobody had anthony thompson......he just got obviously butted and they still gave it to the d.c. fighter who was obviously behind...

little home cookin` despite the fact that they showed the ref the replay that showed the butt......:142smilie

what will happen,is that after folks wagers are graded, the commission will come vback and overturn the decision...

but,it`ll be to late for the poor sod who got hosed...

 i
