This will be televised on HBO. I believe Golovkin will break Proska down, and there is a very good chance he will stop him, IF, he can catch him. Golovkin just a tad pricey at -360 @ 5Dimes now. Still I see true value even at this big number. Golovkin has morphed into a real boxer/puncher wrecking ball.

If you watch some video of Proska you will notice he has a habit of fighting with his hands down by his side. He seems a bit cocky to boot. I am not sure this is a formula for success versus a murderous puncher like Golovkin. He may not start out the fight with such a posture, but he will go native and revert back to his comfort zone eventually. Golovkin keeps his mitts up and comes forward with very bad intentions. Golovkin may start slow but never relents.

Welcome back boxing!

Welcome back boxing!

I like Golovkin as well, think he's too much for young Proksa to handle. Not really excited for anything until Chavez v. Martinez, but I do like the fact that Dzinziruk's the slight underdog against Jonathan Gonzalez. Gonzalez is another hyped undefeated Puerto Rican prospect who I think is next in line to be exposed. I see another David Lemieux v. Marco Antonio Rubio scenario unfolding. Gonzalez looks to me like he could make 147. He's a fast starter looking for the KO as his first 13 fights suggest, but he isn't able to maintain the pace over the course of the distance, evidenced by his last two fights. As his competition level has increased, I think his power has become overstated. Before being dominated by Martinez, Dzinziruk was an undefeated champion at 154, w/ quality wins over Joel Julio, Lukas Konecny, Daniel Santos, and Sebastian Lujan. What seems to be forgotten is that Martinez was a fellow southpaw to boot. Dzinziruk has one of the best jabs in boxing, a real sledgehammer. Billy Lyell is the toughest notch on Gonzalez's resume thus far, and Dzinziruk is a massive step up, to say the least. I like Dzinziruk to cause the upset and take Gonzalez's "0" @ +110.

Good to see ya back dec26! This coming month has lots of good bouts. If Proska isn't on his horse all night and Golovkin can catch up to him, I see some serious damage being inflicted. I cannot fathom how Proska expects to fight a true banger like Golovkin with his mitts down by his waist? Guess he figures he will be cute and slip and slide with lots of head movement. Golovkin will try to walk him down all night. Good fights on Sept. 8 also at the Hard Rock in Vegas. We get to see Bailey try to take Alexander's head off. Should be entertaining.

I'm not 100 % positive that GGG will stop Proksa!

There is quite a bit of hype about this guy!!

One of the big questions is whehter Proksa will keep his hands up for Golovkin...

Sturm should win a competetive fight!

@december
Whats your take on Chavez Martinez .... I'm wondering if Chavez gets a controversial decision...

Battle of old, rusty, and passionless v. young, fat, and indifferent..I've never been so happy w/ a push in my life :mj07:

This over weight crap is becoming an epidemic in boxing. Between paying fines and such and catch weights, just another black eye for the sport. If the old guy had some pop. he had this one, but he was fighting this huge mass of blubber so it wasn't easy. Good call just the same.
