Only betting/posting this as I had my eye on this since I feel Paulie was mugged last time out. Diaz has his future mapped out after his college deal is done if he hasn't already graduated. Paulie, if he doesn't plan on becoming a "wise guy", pretty much only has his boxing on his plate now. So I took Malig +125 at the "M". Was +135, got bet down. I'm not 100% as I was on both Cotto and Kessler and got carved up both times so my thinking is suspect, but alas, I pulled the trigger.

I think it's a virtual flip of the coin. I see good arguments on both sides and appears a lot of good cappers are split and still betting this. My slight lean would be Paulie since he gets a bigger ring to move around. Also Diaz won't be getting the same treatment he got the 1st time with the judging (118-110). No bet for me though. I just don't see the value. Good luck.

I was going to add that I'm pretty certain LOTL will be betting the draw. I rarely wager them but this is definately a draw possibility. Good luck!

:toast:

As we all expect this to be a very very close fight that should go the distance... and that they will be "fair" to Pauli his time ... I think the draw lines you can get at around +3000 or if you have betfair (should be something like +5000 / +6000 offer a lot of value!

DRAW bets seem good in the Paulie fight and the Bradley fight
NOT SO MUCH in the Vitali fight
guess that's why its 60 to 1 !

By the way, after rewatching it, I totally understand why majority thinks that this fight was won by Malignagi. I think it was because HBO commentators was on the Malignagi side all the way, especially Max Kelerman. The reason for this, they mention that 3 out of 4 officials from Texas so they made their minds that if Juan win it it will be robbery. Malignagi had a good performance on that night but so as Juan.
Juan won round and out of nowhere Kelerman said it was Malignagi round. Juan landing hard shots and they say crowd cheer every time Juan land something, then Malignagi land jab on the gloves of Juan and commentator says that Magic Man landing better punches.
All in all, not only Juan land much better shots but actually at higher percentage. Then of course, big speech by Malignagi that he was robbed seal the deal and majority think that Malignagi got robbed.
I score it a draw, because I gave Malignagi benefit of the doubt but if I score it completely right, Juan would won it on my score card.

The fuss over the scoring was basically a TV-led controversy. I muted the sound right down, just leaving enough volume to get a sense of the atmosphere, because the commentary seemed so pro-Malignaggi and it was distracting. Diaz seemed a clear enough winner. The big worry for Diaz backers is that the judges will "overcompensate" in this fight and give every tight round to Malignaggi.

I have to agree. And I like Max, Harold not so much, but I think they always come on the air with a huge New York bias. Anyone from the Big Apple and those two tend to shill them endlessly.

So Cal
I guess I'll chime in with the same thought. I went against Paulie in the last fight and felt it was a close, but fair win. There is just something about Paulie that rubs me the wrong way and I'll go against him again/

Think that is a little much. No doubt HBO seemed to be slightly biased to Malignaggi (really only balancing all that was in favour of Diaz) but there is no way Diaz clearly won that fight. I watched the fight today and scored 114-114. If you go round by round there is no way you can justify a clear victory for Diaz. Even the 116-112 was a little dodgy imo.

The worm has turned in the apple!!! I bought off my Paulie wager as it seems he still sports those fuking dreadlocks. I remember when he had to have a trim job during a fight. How the hell does he expect his hair to stay put during a fight? I still feel he won last time out but I just don't get it. Is his hairdo more important than a victory here??
