hey bl i like the valenzuela pick too. when i was going over the fights the first two things i circled were valenzuela and the over. i like the side better but what the hey. just for being a live dog i might go with siaca. he has knocked out 15of 16 and seems pretty tough. delvalle is for sure the favorite but is getting along in years and i wonder how far past his peak he is?? anyway not sure but maybe a teeny bit on the dog, mainly cause i cant' really find a winner. maybe i should do nothing and use the money for byrd as he is for sure the winner. i know wease and i, too in fact hate giving oddsthat big, but i might do so here as i can see no way oquendo wins. (pretty sad statement after what boxing is going thru now eh? lol) anyway i will try to find some way to put alot on byrd. good luck on whatever ya do. yak:) oops see devalle is off the card. don't know how i skipped past gw's post. sorry

i like the way he spins his body around before he pitches. i also like the screwball he throws. very hard to hit. :D oh not fernado? now ya tell me. go to box rec and look at who they both fought. cept for medina see how many fighters with winning records conteras beat. fernado (lol) also has about a 4 inch height advantage. ya can also see the world ranking of each. i also as around to a few people i respect their opinions and their reasons etc. not saying i like this as much as byrd but the price is much much cheaper too. again this is boxing and anything can happen and cuts and headbutts etc. but i like valenzuela, but not the dogers paticularly. don't like the fight? save your money and play the byrd man.

Leaning toward the over in the Anchondo-Ley fight.
Anchondo has gone over 9.5 three of his last four.
Ley has never been ko'd. But Anchondo does have
power and Ley hasn't fought anyone who can bang
like Anchondo. Also the fight is in Anch's back yard,
combine all that with the heavy wood and you can
see why I am only leaning on it and not playing it.
I will let you know if I decide its worth a shot.

The Valenzuela and the over is a package deal.
I don't see Contreras knocking out the heavier,
taller Valenzuela. Who has been in with much
better competition and has shown a decent chin.
However the fight is in Contreras' back yard and
we all know decisions can be influenced. The way
I see it, at least one of these will win and there is
a great chance both will.

Byrd by decision is very easy to explain, the over
is -400 and Byrd is -500, need I say more.

Still waiting for a line on Kyvelos-Pineda.

Ok, no hard feelings, didnt know if you were being serious or not:)

Its all good.......

and i totally agree with your Brewer pick tonite, do you he has any chance of being upset? Thinking of laying dime and a nickel on him to pick up a quick dollar, think there is any chance he might get upset?

well in boxing there is always a chance of an upset or something "funny" . but the odds indicate barr's chances. if something funny does happen it takes quite a while to tunnel out. very long odds here and i don't play at the level you are talking so my perception is probably alot different. but i just threw my predictions out there cause that is how i predict the fights. good luck to ya.

Fres Oquendo is ranked in the top ten of every major
sanctioning body and is not an easy fight for any heavy
weight. Fres has a great chin and plenty of heart, has
only been ko'd once by David Tua. And that was a tko
where Fres was laying on the ropes taking haymakers
when the ref stepped in and stopped it. Fres was still
on his feet and walked away smiling. Byrd also has an
excellent chin having gone the distance with both the
Klitschko's, David Tua, and many other heavy hitters.
Byrd is a very light puncher that uses speed over power.
Fres has some power but its mostly in his overhand right
which should be a non-factor for a southpaw like Byrd.
This one should end in a decision, could be a technical
decision if the southpaw factor causes a headbutt, so
be careful with the over.

wow, you know your shit, thank alot, i probably will lay off this one. i played mosley last week and got lucky i guess, i watched the whole fight and thought neither one of them deserved to win unanamously, you can make a case for both of them and the only way to settle it is to fight again.
well thanks again, and i look forward to reading your posts.

i posted a couple solid plays in the baseball forum. cubs are my biggest play today. the others are just value plays.

take care
