frankfurter
I was hoping to get even money here but it didn't work out. I like Forrest due to his big height advantage and the fact that he has a great jab and straight right hand. That combination alone will give Quartey plenty of problems here.
The way I see it, if Forrest can dominate Mosley for 24 rounds he should be able to handle Quartey at this point in his career. Quartey may be a tad stronger than Mosley, but he's at least 1 inch shorter giving Forrest an even bigger advantage than he had against Shane.
Quartey has a better jab than Mosley, but Shane is much faster than Ike and more technically sound imo. The only thing Ike has over Shane is a little power, a little strength, and aggression. Other than that Shane is the better fighter, and Ike gives up more height to Forrest.
So if Mosley could't get to Forrest, how will the shorter Quartey get the job done. Being very aggressive is his only option, but he'll get caught with the jab and straight right every time as he comes in.
Quartey was outpointed by Vargas at 154 before leaving the game for 5 years. Now he continues his comeback against Forrest who dominated Mosley, who dominated Vargas twice. Yes I know styles make fights, but if you look at the styles it makes me like Forrest even more than the previously mentioned.
Forrest has slight home field advantage here having fought in NY 5 times and NJ 6 times. Quartey has only fought once in both locations and is not from the US, Forrest is from Atlanta.
I like Forrest here
