I think I lost my mind, but I saw floyd mayweather by decision -147 at pinnacle, and only slightly higher at 5dimes. I know I've lost my mind, I've taken it for the maximum allowed.

Yeh me too I think Mayweather by decision is a very solid bet, if not that then I'd play Baldomir by KO.

I just can;'t see floyd stopping Baldo, he's made of concrete

mayweather cleanly ko'ing baldomir would be the upset of the year.

Not for anything, I think PBF COULD stop Baldy if he choose to do so. It would require a work rate he just may not want to expend. Mayweather is NOT Judah or Gatti. One guy is a clown and the other gets mad if you don't hit him. Floyd will land with authority, and the cumulative effect of many shots can wreak havoc. Not saying it will happen, but it is possible. Also, Baldy may land that one shot PBF doesn;t see coming, and it could really get interesting.

floyd can do anything except live forever, but for him with bad hands and not being a natural welterweight without crushing power to stop baldomir would be a huge upset. I see mayweather popping him all night with baldo smiling and throwing wild punches, enough of which land to make mayweather decide to make him look foolish and not attempt heroics.

Baldomir vows KO!

Thursday, October 26 2006

WBC welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir said earlier this week that he stands by his previous prediction of a knockout over "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather on November 4 at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. "Basically it will come down to me, my willingness to be able to push him throughout the whole fight," says Baldomir. "And coming forward, throwing punches throughout the whole fight without giving him a chance.....I do think he is the best fighter out there but - as far as talent, but I think once we get together I think that I?m going to come out with the victory." The champion believes Mayweather will be an easier opponent than Zab Judah. "The other guy was a southpaw. This guy is a righty so it will be easier for me.....I wasn't able to knock Judah out because he kept holding on the whole time. But this guy he's fast but I will be able to knock him out." Baldomir isn't even impressed with Floyd's speed. "You guys forget that he's fighting at a heavier weight now. He's not going to be as fast as people think. Yes he's not going to be as fast.....He will find out during the fight and that?s what it?s going to boil down to -- me putting the pressure throughout the whole fight and I am going to win the fight!" Finally, in regard to what he brings to the table that Mayweather's 36 previous victims lacked, Baldomir simply stated, "...the only thing different that I am going to bring here is more heart and more balls."

If I had I nickel for every guy that predicted a KO I'd have as much $ as Bill Gates. Judah doesn't train 1/10th as hard as PBF. Gatti is a human heavy bag. One pitfall for Baldy is if he THINKS he will be facing a similiar foe in PBF. I heard a story about Mayweather that there are times he may be socializing with friends and suddenly he will don his tennis shoes and go and run 5 miles on a lark. He is obsessed with conditioning. Judah plays videos games and feels it is a workout. Gatti telegraphs punches so much Western Union wanted to hire him as a consultant. I realize Baldy is comparable to a block of granite. He will be confronted with skill the likes of which he has never seen. I hope he forces PBF to fight and not just box. No way do I lay 6-1 on PBF. Maybe a prop here and there. Maybe Baldy by KO.

One intangible here may be that Roger Mayweather, Floyd's trainer, is locked up for a few months and can't train his nephew. Any thoughts on this?
