BOXING BETTING QUESTIONS

Hi fellas. I have a few boxing betting questions that hopefully can be answered. I don't bet on many fights unless I the odds are right for me.

1. Is there a website I can get current vegas odds on a fight namely the Vazquez-Marquez fight?

2. If I make a wager on a fighter in Vegas and it ends up in a draw do I lose the bet or do I get my money back?

The reason for my questions is that I currently have an offshore account that has Vazquez at +145. It was at +150 at one point but has come down a little bit. I just realized last night that Vazquez is the favorite everywhere else. I am thinking of putting 3 dimes on my account and making a vegas run tomorrow morning to put 3 dimes on Marquez at +150 if that is what it is currently at since I don't have access to another offshore. I just want to make sure that my bases are covered and that a draw doesn't screw me if I were to go to Vegas and place a wager there. Also, say if I put my 3 dimes on Vazquez on my book and it wins can they cancel the bet and say that it was a typo even tho the line really has been like this for the past 2 weeks. If I can get answers to my questions it would be greatly appreciated.

What a concidence, just brought this up in another thread. The Vasquez +145 is a reversed line, a mistake by the book when posting the number. If you bet 3 dimes on it, your bet will be refunded and you'll be stuck with your Marquez wager

To bet boxing I use 5 dimes. The other book that I use is Pinnacle. Pinnacle doesnt take American money anymore but if you Western Union them money I would think that they take it. Pinny is really reliable, so is 5dimes.

If it's a draw I'm pretty sure you get your money back, I've never bet a draw though. The names of the websites are 5dimes.com and pinnaclesports.com. They have odds on pretty much every fight.

About the typo scenario I'm not sure, these offshore books can get a little shady sometimes.

I know of no website that posts actual Vegas odds. If you received your bet confirmation # for Vas @+150 then you will get paid out. The greek has a habit of doing that but they still honor the bet. Other sites will generally return the wager as soon as they realize it was a bad line/ They can't erase the wager after the fact. What site had Vas the opening dog? I kept close tabs on the odds and never saw Vas w/+ odds. If the fight ends in a draw then your wager will be returned.

If the number is off, you are taking a risk. They can do whatever they want. I would'nt take the chance. And there are websites that post actual Vegas odds if you are wiling to pay for this service. They are usually on a 5-10 minute delay. The only way I find out is get off my butt and make the rounds. More work than you may think. Fiest use to have this service. It's out there.

Thanks for all the responses fellas. I knew you guys wouldn't let me down. After debating I decided it wasn't worth the risk like frank s. said it's still there book and they can do whatever they want.

I did end up putting $100 on Vasquez at +145. I still couldn't resist to have a little action at that price even tho my head says that Marquez will try to box and just try to win the rounds.

Romi, if you want the offshore I use, hit MJ up for my email addy and I'll give it to ya. As of this morning Vasquez is still at +145. I'd give it here but its not a sponsored site and I know MJ frowns upon putting other websites in his threads.
